| They had the Ecology of the Cyclops a couple years back in Dragon. I'm not sure what other books they show up in.

Is there an other book that has this creature in it other than the Deities and Demigods?
Also it is a large creature right????
I am wondering as Reaper has released a cyclops figure and it just seems "small"

| I'm 90% sure they're Large, but I don't have a reference for you.

| | I was hoping it would be in one of the Monster Manuals, myself. I hadn't found it yet and am glad this thread was started because I had essentially the same question. | | "Look to God and live." There were Cyclopeans in Dragon issue #323. They were presented as a player race. There are two types (kinda like elf subtypes: gray elf, high elf, etc.). One was called Menta cyclopean, favored class Wizard; and Feral-kind cyclopean, barbarian favored class. Both types were medium size. | They have not been done very well in D&D. When I incorporated them into my game world, I used Hill Giants with some modifications and they worked wonderfully. I based them on the legend of trading an eye for future knowledge (some questionable Greek mythology heritage, Krull, etc ...)
Modifications:
-8 on all ranged attacks. No armor bonus (generally) Moment of Prescience 1/day (cl 20) Foresight (conmtinuous) (cl 20) CR +2 (CR 9)
That moment of prescience usually leads to a ~ 37 point autohit melee attack ... and the foresight is nice for a melee creature.
If you do a large cyclops, it is goint to turn out very much like a hill giant. The above changes give it some personality. | | Champion of Meepo _*_ Myztek on the Wizards Boards. _*_ (2206 DDM on 03/06/06) Please note: The use of the indicates an attempt at humor ... often a bad attempt. | Hello,
Just checked my copy of D&DG. There are actually two types of Cyclopes (plural of cyclops) given. The Lesser Cyclops is your run of the mill D&D cyclops and it is large. Huge size Greater Cyclopes are also detailed as the servants of Hephasteus who forge Zeus' thunderbolts, etc. There are only a limited number of Greater Cyclopes around.
D&DG seems to be only place WotC has detailed a number of monsters. Hopefully they will be updated and included in a later project.
Cheers [:)] | | Successful Trades: 77 * Pending Trades: 0 * Bad Trades: KONG (B.W.) Trade History * Trading Thread * Sales Thread * Winnipeg Meetingplace | |

| | There are cyclops in Dangerous Denizens: The Monsters of Tellene by Kenzer & Co. It's a 3.5 resource. | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. It's old and stuffy. - Originally Posted by BabWryter on Kenzerco.com | |
