| | It might be a little hard to find, but there was a great second edition book called complete bard (if i remember right.) It had different bard kits, one of them being the actor. It was an amazing book, and alot of good stuff you could probably pull from. I actually own a copy, so let me know if you need me to read some stuff off. | | I need a newcastle... | |

| Actually I gotta say... it doesn't sound like a campaign that I would be interested in playing in. Not that it might not turn out to be really cool. I am used to games with alot of political intrigue where the players can't go take out the big bad guy due to social ramifications (getting arrested and hanged), but to me a theatre based game just sounds too boring.

| A good PDF to get would be Master Performers. Also, look for the Quintessential Bard I & II, which has a lot of information that could make that type of campaign a lot of fun.

| Similar but different to an acting troupe, all of my pc's in one campaign were members of a travelling circus. The Barbarian was the Strong Man, the Bard was a Ringleader, the Wizard performed magic (obviously), and the rogue picked the pockets while everyone paid attention to what was happening in the center ring. As a plot hook, it worked out pretty well. The party had a stable of npc's to interact with regularly (the other circus folk they worked alongside), a home base to care about and protect, and an easy reason to travel to different lands (Our next engagement will be before the fine lords and ladies of the Free City of Greyhawk!).
When I first had the idea of doing this sort of game, it quickly became clear that any pc class can find a reason to join the circus. Druids and rangers could tame lions, fighters can display their skill with wepons (knife or hatchet throwing, for example), rogues can tumble and perform acts of balance. All in all a fun twist to the adventuring party. | | Champion of the Entire Monster Manual 1! (Click link to see current progress!) Uncommon Painting Competition 2 Winner | |
