| Well After 15 or so years of playing D&D I finally got
to cast 9th level spells as a PC that I played from
first level...My CL7 / ChI 10 for Living Greyhawk.
I have come close a couple of times (wiz 16 and
rog 3/wiz 5 / Trickster 9) I had a feeling I was never
going to make it (My character will be retired at Dec 31st
of this year because of the new Campaign Cap).
Well I have to say, Quickened Rightous Might was very good
for my domain Spell and I used implosion once (very nice)
and mass heal two different times.
I get to play next wed, so here's hoping I get to use Imprisonment or Gate and not have to use True Res.

| Hey cudos to you on the achievement. Even at best the high level game I played in when Savage Species came out the most I got up to was 7th level spells. The homebrew PBeM I've been in for 4+ years has my wizard/elemental savant at level 10, unless something drastic happens I'm counting on seeing this PC make epic level before we finish the campaign so there's time/hope.
And hopefully you can avoid that True Resurection [)] | |

| Congratz IHawk! None of my characters started in 3.x have even come close to that level. Miss the good 'ole days of hours of play daily after school with the buds (and on weekend!) [:(]
Well if you have one more session try to make it rememberable! Maybe dariustad is to something there! [}:)]

| It's never happened for me yet. I've been playing and DMing since 1980, and the only character I've gotten up that high was a psionicist from 2e, and while he was fun, I think I'd have liked to meteor swarm some things instead.
I have a 15th level character now (but with levels of expert and aristocrat thrown in), but she's got a good 5 levels or so until 9th level spells. And, as I play her maybe twice a year, it's gonna be a long while until I have her up there.

| Just goes to show... at lower levels fighters are da bomb... but when you are hitting 15+ levels, spell casters have more fun. (Especially blonde spell casters.)

| | nicely done! too bad about the cap...nothing prevents you to run the character in home games tho...I love it when characters survive...it is very rewarding as a player and DM. | |

| | I remember playing a wizard in 1E who could have cast 9th level spells, and was of a level to do so for over 3 years. The only 9th level spell I ever actually got to learn was temporal statis, due to campaign issues and access problems. Kind of a bummer. | |

Yeah, I always thought that was kind of screwy. I kept trying to drop subtle hints that you needed something with a bit more ooomph. We should have just hidden, let Hel take over the world, and then come back fully armed with high level spells so that we could just remove her influence ... | |

ChI? Sorry, not sure what that one means, is it Church Inquisitor? Either way though, well done. Hopefully the Core Specials will also allow you to run this beast, along with the promised "Grand" level adventures (they better, since that's the only way my Drd 10/NWr 2 is ever gonna get to summon an Earth Monolith).
You've gotta drop a Miracle too at some point. How many TUs do you have left to burn? And what region are you in? | |

My character is Human Cleric (Heir) 7 / church inquisitor 10,
Knight of the Faithful Defender for the Viscount of Verbobonc.
I have about 10 TU's left...but it is the calendar that will effectively eliminate me from play.
I figure a gate spell is in order to bring me in a Solar...he will
be pretty fun to throw around the board (or a titan for that matter).
I will have to think about Miracle...it is sorta limited within the Boundaries of LG. we will see.
Either way, Wed will be last time I play him, I don't know if I
will plan in any of the promised High Level games. Who knows.
