| Hey gang!
It seems that since we killed a god, we all get a free feat.
I'm a Bard/Seeker of the Song, who almost never gets into actual combat (too busy singing), and the only thing I can think of is Lingering Song.
Any other quick ideas? | | Champion of the Flumph!!!

| | I belive there is a sweet feat in the complete adventurer (might not be that book, but its in one of the source books) that allow you to swap your wisdom modifier for you Cha modifier for will saves. I know if i where a bard that would be a feat i would def. take. | | Zardnaar, One dork to rule them all. | |

| | I believe in Complete Adventurer is the feat enduring song. It basically doubles the length of all bard songs, which can be incredibly helpful. | | Champion of the Beholder and Beholderkin

Force of personality: add char modifier instead of will modifier to will saves.
There are a lot of good bard feats in the Complete Adverturer
Green ear lets you effect plants with your bardic music.(only usefull if you go up against a lot of plant creatures I would think)
Extra music lets you use your bardic music 4 more times a day.(usefull if you have a lot of battles in one day)
subsonic lets you play your music so softly that its not noticed by your enemies.(would let you hide and move silently yet still use your musical abilities)
Ironskin chant gives you or an ally DR5/- for one round (limited usefullness at high levels but it still has potential)
my favorite would be Lyric spell, it lets you channel one of your bardic musics into a spell. You expend one of your daily uses of bardic music to power any spell you can cast,it allows you to cast extra spells per day.(with extra music you could greatly increase the number of spells you could cast per day)

| I'd choose between:
Subsonics (really good if you sing. They won't see you doing it)
or
Lingering Song (Makes it a total of 10 rounds your bardic music lasts after you stop concentrating on it.) | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis SOFTWARE: PC | PC (free) | MAC

| | My only reservation about the Lingering Song feat is that all of the Seeker Bardic Songs require concentration -- and do not comtinue to affect the listeners after you stop singing -- so the feat would have no effect on them. | | Champion of the Flumph!!! | |

| | I'd take obscure knowledge (the one that gives a +4 on bardic knowledge checks) but I'm a sucker for pestering the DM with "what do I know about that?" over and over. | | Anson on WotC boards | |

I looked this up in C. Arcane. It says the Seeker music follows the same rules as Bardic music. It should benefit from lingering song. | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis SOFTWARE: PC | PC (free) | MAC

There are bard effects that don't persist after singing that aren't affected by Lingering Song, though. I think L.S. should probably only work if the ability already has a certain duration after you stop singing. | | Anson on WotC boards

| | True enough, but working *by* the rules would allow the feat to apply. How it's interpreted is left up to the effect and the DM. I was only offering suggestions. | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis SOFTWARE: PC | PC (free) | MAC

| My judge and I agree that the Seeker songs need to be sung continuously for the effect to remain in force -- like Countersong. So Lingering Song has no effect on them.
But I took L.S. anyway, as now I can buff the party for +3, inspire some greatness, and them give us all Fire Rest 15 for 8 rounds before I have to start all over again! | | Champion of the Flumph!!!
