I've been in an epic campaign for quite a while, and we played a short session again today, and managed to get through half a battle. Calculation of all the attacks and damages, strength increases, favoured enemies and such takes horrible amounts of time.

Today, while others were playing their turns, I started to make a tool for my character... I used some time for it after the game too, and now it's ready (although I'm going to add some things later there).

If you want to see it or possibly adapt it (it's made specifically for my character), go ahead! it's here: http://www.kolumbus.fi/antti.lusila/rpg/burnak-attacks.html

Dual-wielding character in an epic game is a nightmare, I believe this will really fasten the combat up! Some features are just for future, currently I've only used huge or smaller forms.

edit: correcting stupid tired mistakes

That is pretty nice there. I ran an epic for a bit with a Drunken Master that we really needed this for, way to many stuff, each of his rds was insane. Was he using a stun, a fists of iron, did he have his mug, did he have this, was it a charge etc etc. Epic is good fun, but god its hard as a DM to prepare for, that freaking drunken master killed my Cleric of Auril in one freaking rd.

Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

I know for sure I don't want to GM a game like that! Only playing my own character takes all the attention I can give, and gm has to be aware of all the characters AND npc's and other things. And my GM has quite about all the possible D&D books where he (and we) take things into the game...

None of us is normal character, my character is half-earth elemental dwarf (rogue-wizard-eldrich knight- warshaper-swashbuckler-witch hunter-fighter-spellsword(?)) with even more special qualities. Using two weapons gives some pain, I'm happy I don't have 4 or more arms and having full attacks for them all. We've encountered that kind of foe, I can feel GM's pain with that kind of foes!

That's pretty darn neat, I have to say. Just spits out modifiers. Rockin.

Nice. Pretty clean for a quick and dirty job too [)].

I guess ya gotta like having a morale bonus: Melissa :) Or is that some obscure 3.5 spell.

My current campaign is an ending epicish game, one thing I did fairly early to keep things fast paced and add a bit of quirk was to have everything just do half damage out right. Criticals did double half (ie max) etc. So no rolling for damage but it makes combat fly along. Takes minutes off each player's calcuating time.

LOL, That's our Song-dragon bard!

And thanks! I believe we're going to play tomorrow again, if I could just find some time to make a few more additions... I think I'll be recruited to do similar things for two other characters too. At least I'll know how much this will quicken the combat. I used to calculate my attack bonuses & damages in the beginning of each battle for 10 minutes, and then some more after getting to know what our opponents are.
