| We haven't gotten a new version of a classic module in almost 2 months, not since White Plume Mountain. I love them..hope they don't quit doing it. [:(] | | Champion of the Peryton Vindicated Champion : Pit Fiend, Devourer DW: Duergar Priest RPG Only!!!! The Drumming Drunkn' DM | |

| Both times they did it was met by alot of people praising them for it...
I dont see why they would stop.
Keep on the Borderlands or the Giants trilogy would be great choices for what to make next.

| | I think we'll keep seeing them but it is unreasonable to expect them to come out very quickly. 3 a year would be a lot, considering the designer time it takes to convert them and the fact that doing so doesn't generate any direct revenue for them. | | Anson on WotC boards | |

Ran through the original Giants trilogy and dovetailed into the underdark/drow trilogy and finished up with queen of the demonweb pits as a campaign years ago. I had loads of fun and would like to see all of them updated to 3.5 so I could run another party through.(and avoid doing all the work myself [:D])
......now I have to dash off and see if I still have the old modules somewhere.....

| I've been very anxious to see the rest of the S-Series put out. I loved WPM and ToH, and hope that WotC continue to update the older modules.
Unfortunately, getting two in a row (October/November) has made me somewhat impatient to see more released. [:(]
At this point in time, I'd be glad to pay a modest fee ($5-$10) for the rest of the S-Series and other modules here and there! | | Champion of the Werewolf Lord, Knight of Anything Duergar, and Squire of Things Gnollish List reset with the start of previews for each new set...got Chainmail®?

Oi! Let's not forget the Desert of Desolation series (I3-5) and the Scourge of the Slavelords series (A1-4) and I would personaly absolutely positively love (besides ToEE) if they updated Castle Greyhawk (WG7) [:D] but the latter I highly doubt would ever get an update [:(] | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! | I am all for re-doing the classics that we grognards cut our teeth on! Show the kids some *real* adventures! Just like DVD sets of old TV shows, I believe it would be a license to print money. I would pay a tidy sum for Against the Giants or the Slavelords.
So what is the next adventure in the "S" series? Expedition to the Barrier Peaks? Bring on the Vegepygmies, Daddy-o!

| | I'd be willing to pay for the Against the Slavelords and Queen of Spiders supermodules in an updated format. I tried to convert the U-series (Saltmarsh) myself and while U-1 was easy I think I botched U-2 royally and figured #3 would smoke PC's like Kools. Come to think of it I'd pay for the U series too. | | Two trades completed!! (Krush,Hides From Hurricanes) Champion of the Aaracokra Herald Of Snig Goblin King | |

Personally, I'd prefer Caverns of Tsojcanth. (S4) I tried a conversion once and was way too literal with it. I simply kept the same monsters in each room without any thought for CR or EL. Ended up being a really weird/inconsistent adventure which we never finished.

Seriously though, I would just about plotz if they redid for 3.5 the Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun. Very creepy adventure.

| Throw me in the pile who certainly hope they do continue.
My top 3 for conersion would be:
ToEE (but it's unlikely as your really looking at the equivalnet of 6 modules worth on info if you compare it to the size of S1 and S2...)
A2: Secret of the Slavers Stockade. A wonderful infiltration module. Introduction of the Cloaker! Markessa! I've used this module more times than I can count.
B10 Nights Dark Terror. A PERFECT module to incorporate mini's. They had a fold out map of an outpost with counters to represent characters and goblins during a night time siege. This would be a great conversion to 3.5!

| Since WOTC is doing adventures again, maybe something will come out that is a converion of a classic mod :) Lets keep our fingers crossed!
I'd love to see the G series.

That's THE Markessa to YOU, peasant! Now get on that Lab table!
I love (the) Markessa. She became a recurring villain in one of my campaigns.
Another great module from the past that would do great in 3.5 was Baltron's Beacon (I8? Maybe...). Nice one-shot go-fetch-this mission, and VERY challenging for the level. Put PCs in a fair number of unfamiliar situations.
Could there be rights issues with some of these old adventures? I mean, WoTC owns them lock, stock and barrel, yes?

No, their is no problem. Keep in mind, essentially they are simply providing stats for the same, or modified monsters. They aren't borrowing from the original (much anyway). But in the end, they do in fact own them. Keep in mind, all of these (even the R modules) were already reprinted in a new fashion (which is what usually grabs the authors original attention) via the SRD downloads.
