The problem is that with 2E books being a 5$ download, I can't justify spending $35 on a book that reprints fluff from 2E. (And some FR books do in fact essentially reprint text.) That is also why I didn't like Silver Marches, by the way. Forgotten Realms fans already know all about Bruennor Battlehammer. I don't need extensive documentation on Drizzt and friends, thank you.

I couldnt dissagree more.

I feel that with 3rd edition I should NEVER have to use 2nd edition material. I'd like everything updated and reprinted.

Actually I agree with Count..there is alot of FR 2nd books that I'm thinking of picking up just for the Fluff. The more info I have the more I can make the setting more real.but would like too see it all updated too 3rd edition so I don't have too do that.
I agree that it does get out of hand sometimes with the FR material as it doesn't leave alot too recreate as DM but i use just some of the material. But I like too read it all.[:D]

For me it has to be the Moonshae supplement from '87 (still 1st Ed) by Douglas Niles. I can't think of any RPG supplement that has given me more value for money than that. I think the campaign that I ran on Moonshae lasted for well over 200 sessions.

If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.
