I am considering buying this.
If you have bought it please tell me what you think about it.

Do not mention any illegal pdf files !
That will just cause the thread to be locked.

I just bought this, and I have to say, so far I really like it. Someone mentioned in the other thread that it was similar to a Player's guide 2, and I thought this was pretty on. Interesting new races (the diopsid and devati are both very interesting), new core classes, Prc's, races, just a load of great stuff.

One thing that I liked is that I noticed some DM's are more willing to use material if it is actually published in a book, rather than just in a magazine. Strange, but true. I look forward to seeing further volumes of this. If you have any questions about the book, let me know, I'd be glad to post more.

I am curious about the races, I looked at the book briefly.
But I can't rememver if any of the races have an ECL ?

I like making characters (PCs, NPCs), but I prefer races without
an ECL/ level adjustment.

There's five:
Diaboli: devil looking race, very chaotic, +1 LA.
Diopsid: Underdark beetle race, masters of wielding two two-handed weps, +1 LA.
Dvati: Twins, +1 LA
Lupin: Dog-headed rangers, no LA
Tibbit: Were-cats (not as lame as it sounds), no LA.

I've looked through it at a local shop, and I wasn't particularly impressed. Then again, much in Dragon doesn't leave me feeling particularly impressed.

It's not my proverbial cuppa, that's all. It doesn't help that I'm of the opinion that there are plenty of races in D&D as it stands. Now, articles like the ones on Lycanthropes (with Racial Substitution levels) and the one with the Staves (338) were articles that I found very helpful and/or informative.

I'll agree, though, that DMs are far more likely to give support/use things published in a book versus the magazine. Somehow, when it comes from a magazine it feels less well-done than a book. There's no real reason for it, but it does.

I'm disappointed that there isn't more 1st and 2nd Ed. conversions. I may still buy it though.

I liked it a lot and bought it. The art and layout was good. I liked the conversions of the yellow, purple and orange dragons. One of my ALL time favorite Dragon articles.

And for those that don't have the issue, it also has the bloodline feats for sorcerers. I've read many times on different boards that some think sorcerers should start off with those feats to make them balanced.

I may buy it but only if I can get it at a discount. That $40 is better spent elsewhere.

I'm sure it's a good product and I am intrigued by it, just not at full retail.
