We were pretty much going by the Lord of the Rings deal, where there's Entwives lost out there somewhere, but in my world they have been found..LOL | |

Plants aren't asexual. They require fertilization from male to female plants in order to reproduce. That's what bees are for. | |

Unless plants have mutated since I was in 6th grade science (which they may have) plants have both male and female parts. Flowers, for example, have a pistil (female) and stamen (male) and bees help pollenization, but aren't required.

Back on topic, I can't imagine gender being a problem in my games. Our primary gaming group is my buddy, myself, and our wives. My wife plays both genders, though her male character is a standard Fighter. He (character) is infatuated with my friend's wife's female druid. We all just look at it as an in-character thing and means nothing. I have also played female characters about 30% of the time. It was originally to accurately represent female pecentages among all male players, but I never saw it any different than generating a female PC for a video game. I play less females now because the wives are likely to make females.
On the other hand, my friend's wife doesn't like playing a male. Her only male character from another party is a satyr. (of all things to pick!) She plays the satyr as the ever-randy womanizer, but satyrs are supposed to be that way. I honestly think the male aversion came before the satyr, but playing a hyper-sexed character would turn anyone away from it. | |

That's not asexual, it's hermaphroditic. And while that holds true for flowers (most, anyway) this is not endmeic to all plants.
