| When I was collecting Loyal Earth Elementals, I got about five for RPG reasons. I have one Large Earth Elemental, and decided that about five Loyal Earth Elementals would satisfy my desires for large sized earth elementals. Then I was sorting through my War Drums stuff last night and today. I saw the elemental wall, and thought--I already have all those Loyal EE's, so I don't really need more earth elementals. I was going to keep two and put the other two in trade stock. Then, I thought, wait a second, those elemental walls might be superior to the loyal ones. They don't overflow the base like crazy. A little, maybe. But they're not a huge mini on a large base like those poorly designed loyal earth elementals. I really don't like it when minis are that intrusive on going beyond their borders.

| You know, we've been talking about this guy on the RPG forum a lot ... you should check out the discussions there ... on the RPG forum. You know, cause that's where we talk abour RPG stuff. In the RPG forum. Yep.
In total, I now have 25 different large earth elemental suitable figures. | I have to say I prefer the Elemental Wall over the Underdark Version for use as a RPG piece. Of course it's been said the last thing we needed was another large earth elemental, espeically so soon.
Now if only it was a Large Elemental Wall of Fire.... [}:)]

| I prefer the Loyal Earth Elemental from Underdark.
I'm not sure why we needed another uncommon Elemental proxy in this set. For RPG purposes, there are several things that argue against this:
1> We just had a large earth elemental proxy in the last set.
2> The walking wall is solitary. You don't need a 1/2 dozen of them. (Unlike the summonable Large Fire and Large Water Elementals)
3> The walking wall is normally medium in size. They had to advance it to 10HD to make it a large monster. | | Have: Cat; Want: Storm Giant Champion of Anything Dragonlance Before trading, please check the Disputed Trades Thread

| Great topic about time someone brought it up. Loyal Earth Elemental from Underdark I use as near huge earth elementals..and the living wall as just a large along with the Harb large just for size comparison. I think we are done with large size rock monsters.[:D]

| Personally I like the Loyal Earth Elemental better than the Elemental Wall. I guess you could just use a different one depending on what kind of "earth" is around. Use the Elemental Wall if like stone is being used, the Large Earth Elemental for like mud, and the Loyal Earth Elemental for like a mix or something..
I dunno I'll probably switch off using different ones if it came up. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka

| | Even though the actual monster that the elemental wall represents is very unlikely to show up in my gaming. | I'd like the elemental wall a bit more if it was a bit taller. As it stands it isn't as imposing as either the "Thing" or the "Ohenry".
I did think this elemental wall would repaint fairly well as a Large Fire Elemental. The way the rocks kind of jut up could be made to look like fire. | | Robert Rosehart Champion of the pixie

| I like them both but in a neck and neck race the LEE wins it for me. It looks a lot more like something made entirely from earth and rocks (sort of like the monster in qalaxy quest). The elemental wall makes a great proxie for a medium earth elemental, and it looks better than the medium earth elemental, but for a large its just got to be the LEE for me. | | | |

| I owned 4 Loyal EE as well.
When the Wall came out I made some trades.
I want 2 Harbinger EE, 2 Loyal EE and 2 Elemental Walls.
Thats 6 large Earth Elementals and 3 different sculpts.
If a wizard summons 3 of them and you use 1 of each thats gonna look pretty cool on the battlemat. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

| | I have to agree with the Count's assessment. Keeping a few of each works well for rpg needs. Going to try repainting one into a 'firewall' type just to see how it stands up/looks. | | You see! There ARE others out there just like me. What? Why are laughing? | |

| Sculpt-wise, I prefer the "Elemental Wall" as it looks more like a rock formation than the Loyal Earth Elemental that looks goofy in my opinion, and I still think "The Thing" looks the closest to an actual Earth Elemental. Lab Monkey made a good point, I also looked in the MH and the Elemental Wall is actually a Walking Wall, just by the look of it. | | Please donate BLOOD at http://www.monstersgame.co.uk/ac=vid&vid=11018554 Champion Of Kaz the Minotaur Knight of ALL Draconians. | Give me the Harbinger Earth Elemental any day over the other two.
The Loyal is kinda nice but doesn't really look like "earth" to me. Looks like some kinda fiberglass or crystaline substance. | Well now that I have the Elem Wall as a large Earth Elemental I can start re-basing the Loyal Earth Elemental onto some Huge bases.

| I prefer the LEE (after I repainted it of course [:D]). The Elemental Wall is pretty uninspiring. I've experimented with basing the LEE one a huge base and it just looks ridiculously small (in comparison with other Huges). | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. | | If you have all the Earth elementals, it would be easier to use different ones to keep track. Of course I also put a sticker on the bottom of them and number them, so its easy to track that to. But say both your PC's and their opponents use an earth elemental, you can use two different ones, so thats kind of neat i guess. Its not needed, but I also like variety. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

| The Loyal Earth Elemental is incredibly easy to paint (low detail). I painted three of four different styles (one redrock, one slate, and one sandstone). It makes combat tracking incredibly easy and they look great [:D]
A variety is nice. I just wish I had as much variety to choose from for other elementals. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? Champion of Dwarven Thunderlashers Knight of the Large Dire Chicken Have/Want List Trade References
