| Picked up the latest Dugeon magazine off the rack at the FLGS and in reading through the latest AoW installment it was chalk full of giants, dragons and demons. All tender goodness that Shoe hinted at in his little blub that floating around on the general board.
The end creature of the adventure was a CRD so we've got a good use for the mini when it does come out later in the year. Also mentioned/detailed were a maralith demon, a fire giant fighter/dragonstalker and a frost giant sorcerer. There were some others but those are the highlights that caught my eye. | | You see! There ARE others out there just like me. What? Why are laughing?

| I really hope that Shoe and the Gang (not to be confused with Cool and the Gang) uses published adventures and Dungeon Magazine for inspiration for DDM alot more frequently in the future.
Im one of those DM's who doesnt have the time (or possibly immagination) to do home-brew campaigns. I like the Adventure path that started with The Sunless Citidel and I love The Shackled City AP in Dungeon...I have been peeking at Age of Worms but will wait till the whole thing is published.
I was very happy to see Blood Ghost Berserkers from RHoD and think its great that Age of Worms is inspiring the Son of Kyuss mini.
Id love to know how much more DDM will be made because of published adventures.
Oh and if Shoe is reading..can I ask a question? Are you guys allowed to make minis of things that are EXCLUSIVLY in Dungeon magazine? Spawn of kyuss are in the MM2. But what about Werebaboons or Harpoon Spiders for example? Those 2 creatures were in the Adventure "Flood Season" wich was part of Shackled City. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

| | I'm hoping they start pulling monsters and stuff from Dragon magazine. A lot of times they have some real good stuff and I'd love to see minis for a bunch of them. Hopefully they really arent limited at all, and can basically choose whatever they want from wherever. That would be a lot of diversity. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

Everything published by Paizo is official D&D content, which WotC can (and often does) choose to re-publish in upcoming sourcebooks at any time, so I'd say Paizo monsters are fair game for the Minis design team. | | Champion of the Entire Monster Manual 1! I'm sure if they wanted to, they could find a way to make minis out of exclusive Dragon Magazine creatures. (I think though, that I've seen the Harpoon Spider in MM3). I just wonder how useful these creatures would be to people who don't subscribe to Dragon. A werebaboon, I think might be greeted as well as a new Wrackspawn by many. | | Champion of the Rakshasa. Ok..maybe Werebaboon was a bad example. That is kind of a silly monster. But other monsters that only appeared in Dungeon mag is no worse than a Warbound Impaler or a Khumat.
These things arent traditional MM monsters. Just like not everyone owns Dungeon Magazine, not everyone owns MM3..Same thing. The difference is that the Dungeon mag monsters are used by TONS of players who run these adventures....You cant really say that about Gulgars, Mephlings or Frost Dwarves. :) | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

| A werebaboon? *sigh* Some things just should NOT be...Of course, I'm a bit of a lycanthrope purist.
On the other hand, I like the idea of some synergy/planning between the designers and the paizo team. It's amazing what a little teamwork can do! | | Champion of the Werewolf Lord, Knight of Anything Duergar, and Squire of Things Gnollish List reset with the start of previews for each new set...got Chainmail®?

The warape from the chainmail line rocked, I used him as a werebaboon for a modified Shackled city adventure I ran once. (and had a DM use him for shackled city when he ran us through it) | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

| I'm all for baboons, with their high screams and anger!! Shackled City is still my favorte of the 2 existing long term stories in Dungeon. I too second the Counts request for more minis made from creature in Dungeon. I'm a DM also that uses the mag for ideas and storyline tags quiet often. | | Champion of the Peryton Vindicated Champion : Pit Fiend, Devourer DW: Duergar Priest RPG Only!!!! | | I have noticed that as each set releases, we get more and more stuff I can use for my AoW campaign. I would like to see a plain ol' spawn of Kyuss but so far Giants of Legend Zombies have sufficed. | | Looking for someone to cosponser a midwest DDM event. let me know if your interested!
