| OK, a while back i saw someone post about help making a town. This gave me an idea. In about a month or so ill be starting a new campaign and wanted to have a change of setting. What better palce to start then here with all the experts.
So this is my idea. Let's come up with a DND campaign world as a maxmini's community. I have no problem compiling all the information and keeping track of everything and posting the next things needed and so.
If you would be interested in helping with this please post here and if enough people are interested ill get it started and once its all done whoever wants a copy of it can get one. Ill distribute it, maps and what not. But post and let me know if your up for it? | |

| when I create my homeworld I change some of the basic rules.
First I made the world flat.
I got rid of hell and the abysss as seperate planes and placed them below the world.
Likewise the gods are above the world.
the reason I mention this is maybe you could lay down a few ground rules. A loose framework that people could work within. | |

| I would be interested. I've always toyed with an idea I read about once, a shattered world. Ancient magics shattered the world into hundreds of pieces that the same magics have kept alive and supporting live circling the sun in roughly the same orbit.
Each piece has the same roughly the same gravity and atmosphere as the original world (or maybe some wildly differ from each other) and they orbit mostly within sight of each other with thinner atmosphere between them so travel between worldlets is possible.
Just a sketchy outline of an idea.

| I could also chime in. It would be nice if every race from every campaign setting could be in it, the lone exception being the Warforged, unless you plan on a higher-technology
world. Do not get me wrong, I love them, but after seeing what trouble one was in an OA
campaign, I would be careful about them. Now, Dread Guards as PC's would be amazing [)] | |

Can't wait to hear your guidelines. It seems like each person would like to have a zone to create...or we could develop teams for designing continents...oh Gosh, there's so any ways to begin.
I'd prefer it to be original...in other words not just people plopping down ideas and cultures from their home campaigns just cause they think its cool...
