| Below are the 20 random world's I generated using Fractal Terrains. The first five have 50% Land/Sea ratios and are marked A50, B50, C50, D50, and E50. The other fifteen worlds have 55% Land/Sea, 60%, and 70% and are similarly labled. Like D70 would be the fourth world I generated with 70% seas. Please place your votes for your three favorite worlds. It's always easier to choose when you can make three choices. That way we can narrow things down to the top five or so and decide from there. Feel free to also state why you like the worlds you choose so that others might be convinced of your assessment and vote for it too! Remember, we can also make minor tweeks to a world using the Fractal Terrains program like raising or lowering the elevation to divide off islands, or make more islands, etc.

| D55: I like the large inland sea on the right, the continent circles around it like it was the victim of a cataclysmic asteroid strike.I can see a history around that same with the small group of islands just off the center
A70: A water world with a lot of smaller continents and a relativly mild mountain ranges. The world could still be in the early stages of development before the great civilizations of other worlds have risen and fallen.
B70: same as a70 but the major continents are still, more or less, grouped together with numerous outlying smaller island masses.

| D55: I also liked D55! I had my choices written down but thought I'd wait to vote, but now I can't help myself. D55 is just cool looking. I love the inland sea and the group of islands on the other side of the world, plus there are still three massive continents that could support cultures too... This one is by far my favorite.
C55: I thought this one was quite interesting, especially if we used the program to seperate the two large land masses just off to the right of the center. I liked the inland sea zone too.
A70: If we wanted a maritime campaign, this would be a cool map for it. I had this on my list as a cool choice too.
Keep voting and let's see what others think! | | Kelly Lee Phipps Visit my New Fantasy World Website: www.astrofantasy.com Email: kellyleephipps@gmail.com My Have/Want List: http://www.maxminis.com/hw_list.asp?user=brazenwood My Reference List Link: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6375

| Alright my take...
C60 - Lots of individual lands, room for a range of temperature climes (polar to tropics). If some island chains could be added in to the lower center/right it would add some variables.
C55 - Only thing missing from this map is perhaps clusters of islands along the ridge lines at the top left.
D55 - Would agree there is a nice mix up here. Like C55, only a few tweeks. Break the left center land mass so the bottom two portions are islands and add some islands along that center ridgeline. | | You see! There ARE others out there just like me. What? Why are laughing?

| A55: I very much like the idea of a super-continent which extends from pole to pole. The two huge mountain areas could be the nexi of rival civilizations or even rival pantheons. With some (major?) tweaking, the island group in the mid-left area could resemble a dragon in flight.
D55: This one is my favorite as well. The ring-continent is COOL, and the mid/upper-right island groups are excellent. Is that a rift valley in the left prong of the Y-shaped mountain range? If so, that rocks.
E60: Perhaps the most anthropomorphic of the group. A winged beast swooping down upon a serpent? I like this one, but not as much as the first two.

| A55 - I like the way the single large landmass divides the world. The mountains could run the entire lenght and be a sort of natural barrier.
A50 - 2nd choice has the feel of islands even with most of the landmasses conected
E70 - 3rd choice just add in more small island and it good to go. | | Yes I am Gelatinous.

| I tend to agree with most everyone. WIth a few tweaks it looks like d55 would be my vote as well.
So far the total s are as follows...just taking everyones first choice...
d55=6 votes 46% a55=4 votes 31% c60=1 vote 8% d50=1 vote 8% b50=1 vote 8%
These are rough percentages, didnt figure them out down to the 29th decimal or anything. Lets give it another day and then start with revising the final map. | | Ha:19 of 80! De:43 of 60! | A55) - Intriguing design. I like the pole to pole continent. Sea trade between coasts would be nearly impossible. If the terrain in between was difficult to travel, it could leave both coasts highly isolated from each other.
C55) - Most creative design, IMO, and my favorite.
E55) - Another creative design. Lots of possibilites with this one. I like the various inland seas. | | WotC - making me wish more and more every day for a return to the TSR days. :( I fought the snark and the snark won. I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!
