OK guys, these were the most voted on maps, although a few of them were tied with just one vote. Lets narrow it down further from here. Once he gets them reposted we can vote on them and narrow it down to the top two and have one final round of voting. | | Ha:19 of 80! De:43 of 60! Ar:24 of 60! GoL:60 of 72! Ab:59 of 60! Dk:58 of 60! This map gives a nice variety of land mass to work with including both north and south poles. A couple of good inland type seas that can cross pollinate cultures and lead to interesting histories. It might need to a be a little thicker for the main continent, but then again size is relative to the actual size of the world. | | Unto Death We Strive,

| By the way, the world's are all 20,000 miles in diameter. I didn't tweak that variable. Just left it at the default. So that gives you an idea how big a continent is. One fourth the map is 5000 miles and one 8th would be 2500 miles.
ANyway, while I'm here I'll cast my vote. My three favorites are D55, D50, and A50. All three are superb both circular and flat. But my vote goes to D55.

| | I agree that D55 is nice, but I am still going to vote for A55. I am very interested in the single landmass that divides it. I think the mountain range should run the entire lenght and have an epic sounding name like "The Spine of the World" | | Yes I am Gelatinous.

I cringed too. I thought it sounded familiar (I haven't read Wheel of Time). In making our world, we shouldn't borrow that directly from any non-D&D source. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse | |

Having most of it as one massive landmass is a fairly unique feature which should lead to some interesting interactions and conflicts between races and cultures.
As a distant second I would pick A50. The long mass that connects the northern and souterns poles cuts the world in half. It makes circumnavigation impossible and precludes teh possibility of sea-based trade through that region. I picture a very, very wealthy and powerful empire (or series of warring empires) built up in that area with fortunes made from taxing and controlling trade through the region. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Actually, Spine of the World is the northern mountain range in the Forgotten Realms. It's north of Luskan and Mirabar.
