| I found this interesting tidbit and thought I would pass it on.

You know what... when you have the ability to kill all of the Gods in your world, it is time to retire the character.

IIRC, the gullible info site provides true information for the gullible to check. It doesn't provide false info.
For instance, look under today's date and you'll see:
• In the 1893 case Nix v. Hedden, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the tomato is a vegetable.
If you check wikipedia for the case, you'll find this to be true:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nix_v._Hedden
Of course, the fact checking on gullible.info may be off. For instance, I have a character that was built in the 1978 that is still alive (well ... he was turned to stone in 78 and I have not played him since ... does that count?) | | Champion of Meepo _*_ Myztek on the Wizards Boards. _*_ (2206 DDM on 03/06/06) Please note: The use of the indicates an attempt at humor ... often a bad attempt. If you look at the entry which follows the D&D one, you'll note that their knowledge of the english alphabet is suspect as well ;)

Or so they would have the gullible believe. [)]
As to the fruits vs. veg thing, there is no technical or biological difference. The only distinction is that fruits are usually eaten on their own or as a supplement to a meal (eg. dessert) while vegetables are eaten as part of or with other foodstuffs.
And then there are drupes, which are another matter entirely. [)] | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

Actually, there is a difference. The real problem is that fruit is a botanical term and vegetable is a culinary term, so their definitions are not written with each other in mind. Scientifically speaking, "fruit" is a defined term (and would include tomatoes.)

Exactly. Apart from root crops like carrots and parsnips all vegetable are fruits, but not all fruits are vegetables. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

| Wouldn't the oldest characters technically be the ones played by the game's founders who still play?
Granted, Mordy hasn't been played every weekend. | | Owner of The Original Rust Monsters!
