| The Star Dragon was born of the Maioribus Tripudio, lights which shine in the night sky. Wisest and Strongest of the Metallic Dragons, the Star Dragons are also the least seen by men and other common races. Their breath is fearer by many of the Metallic Dragons, as it has no elemental type, simply raw energy. Most commonly nocturnal, they will venture out to aid travellers and when they are needed. The elder dragons also have the ability to scry, and communicate via the message spell.

OK, this is my new race of dragons, the Star Dragon. Could somebody explain Snatch to me? I understand to basics, but not how to enter/use it. Also, feel free to critique. Chris | | My Trading Thread | |

| Hmmm... I don't see responses from Ghendar or yack.
This is from the SRD.
SNATCH [GENERAL] Prerequisite: Size Huge or larger.
Benefits: The creature can choose to start a grapple when it hits with a claw or bite attack, as though it had the improved grab special attack. If the creature gets a hold on a creature three or more sizes smaller, it squeezes each round for automatic bite or claw damage. A snatched opponent held in the creature’s mouth is not allowed a Reflex save against the creature’s breath weapon, if it has one.
The creature can drop a creature it has snatched as a free action or use a standard action to fling it aside. A flung creature travels 1d6 x 10 feet, and takes 1d6 points of damage per 10 feet traveled. If the creature flings a snatched opponent while flying, the opponent takes this amount or falling damage, whichever is greater.
What is it that you don't understand?

| Basically, I was looking at the MM entry under the ready-made Red Dragon. It gives a description of what that dragon's snatch does. In it, however, I believe it uses differnet 'size or smaller' entries. What gives with that? Chris | | My Trading Thread | |

The SRD doesn't have a ready made Red Dragon, what does it says exactly?

P.S: The Star Dragon is nice. Awfully strong offensively and defensively, but the weak and line breath does even things up. | | Please donate BLOOD at http://www.monstersgame.co.uk/ac=vid&vid=11018554 Champion Of Kaz the Minotaur Knight of ALL Draconians.
