The State that invented Spam!

Ok, I've been running a homebrew Undermountain Campaign for sometime and trust me, I've yet to run out of Trap Ideas.

Imagine This

Hallway:

Above no pit (Illusion of a Ceiling)
Below a pit 20feet down.
The Invis Wall is only 10x10 so you could walk under it in the pit

Hah! I can just imagine a certain party of adventurers bein embarrassed by such a trap.

It's really quite a creative trap idea. I hope you don't mind if borrow it for my (also homebrew)Undermountain campaign?

The fun thing about putting together a custom Undermountain is that you get to think like an insane old wizard and imagine what he would come up with and be amused by.

The best part is. I almost killed a party member with this.

He tried running across took 2d6 slam damage. then falling up damage. then walked over to the right and fell from normal gravity. then walked over and again and and fell unconsious. Someone healed him

I used something similar once:

The PCs get attacked by a gnome using a crossbow. The bolt misses, and the gnome runs. The PCs follow. The gnome runs down a passage and then seems to leap into the air and flies up a darkly lit chimney at the end of an otherwise dead-end hallway. If the PCs move beneath the chimney, they get sucked up by inverse gravity (Reflex save to avoid) into a large chamber above the ceiling. That chamber is a big sphere with a gravity well floating in the center - anything in the chamber is drawn to float in the center of the sphere. The gnome was a wizard that dimension doored away once he was in the chimney.

If the DM wants to be mean, he can dump acid into this central gravity well, so that the PCs are submersed in it. If they dispel the magic of the gravity well, the acid gets dumped on them (if they are in the chimney).

Please note: The use of the indicates an attempt at humor ... often a bad attempt.
