| I don't know if any one has ever posted shots of games in session. If this is inappropriate please lock and allow the sands of time to bury it. Or just delete it and be done with it.
But these shots are a few that were taken from the Season Finale. This is the season finale for a campaign that has been going everyother weekend for the past two years straight. All the characters started out at 1st level. Through different sessions characters were retired/killed off. The party still has one of the original characters Kendrick (played by Matt pic in a second) who is a 12th/13 level clr/wiz/necromancer (I can't remember off hand)
The group had been asked to retrive an item, The Hand of Shadow. The Hand of Shadow is the physical manifestation of the mian god of law, Tarra Gamma. Tarra Gamma's whole ideal is to watch over the material plane and to keep all deities from being physically on the material plane, the enforcement of the divine accord. The Hand of Shadow (a metal gauntlet that casts a shadow) however, is a loop hole in this accord in so much as it can show and lock/unlock portals to other planes.
In going to the place where the Hand was being kept (a demi-plane of shadow) a sunken temple. The party happened to see their key nemesis, Fallon. According to the party, Fallon was searching in the wrong area (or at least they thought he was after the same item and thus the wrong area) After finding the hand of shadow and interacting with many of the denizens of the planes it was time to leave. But the forces of light (good) had already seized the moment and had started pouring into the demi-plane.
The party standing at the entrance of the Shrine of Shadow and watching the battle between light and darkness they were spotted by a Bone Devil. The fight was coming to them. The Bone Devil was in the midst of the party when an angelic avenger spotted this. Thinking the enemy of my enemy is my friend (not the best line of thought but hey I was rolling a lot of 1's) the angelic avenger swoops to the party's aid.
As the party is "diplomaizin" with the angelic avenger a Vrock sneaks in to ambush the angelic avenger. But not before getting a call off to the other side for his brother to come in and join the fun.
After dispatching the two vrocks the party reaches an alliance with the angelic avenger and are free to go about leaveing the demi-plane of shadow.......but Fallon is over there and this would be a chance for getting him for the betrayal at 2nd/3rd level, the derailment of plans at 6th level, the infiltration of nefarious agents into the capital city at 7th, and the hiring of a play write to travel and do something that the party has not been able to figure out what as of yet...
So the party with the aid of the Hand of Shadow's D-door ability is going to initiate a surgical strike and attack the party and kill Fallon. The plan is simple enough attack the retinue have the assassin fly invisible study Fallon for three rounds swoopin and strike with true strike and a death blow. Then have another teleport out of the plane and everyone is back safe and sound.
Everything is in place and the party makes the first jump and straight into the fire. While all around the forces of light and darkness are waging the eternal struggle so close to the material plane. The picture on scene is Fallon and a cloaked female are standing at the enterance of a portal to the abyss and the nine hells has been opened and things are starting to pour through. Fallon and company are surrounded by four body guards of half fiend ogre fighters.
Hanz, 
(played by Mike) the lead fighter is the only one that can make out the huge shape coming through the portal behind all the other shapes. e describes the shape and image and a knowledge planes from Kendrick, reveals a Glabrezu. The wielder of the Hand of Shadow closers the portal before the galbrezu can come all the way through. However, the herald of the galbrezu, did make it through and joins the fight.
The herald seeing the invisible assassin flys to intercept. In the same round Kendrick summons a wall of fire from a magic item blocking the sight of the assassin to his prey. Flying the 60 feet to the assassin the Herald uses his death attack on the assassin ( i do death attacks different than the rules) not killing him outright but the subsequent fall did.
As the party is in the thick of the fight River (played by Dennis)
River rasies her Secpter of Rule (a tandem magic item with a crown but functions as a rod of rulership) and commands the half fiend ogres and dolguant monks as sovereign to obey her and stop fighting them and turn on the herald. The Herald makes his will save and flees, as does the rest of the forces of darkness.
The party seeing the heralds of the Angelic Host starts to figure out the egress plan, incase a detect evil or chaos gets thrown. The majority of the party is not good nor lawful.
Through some great role play the party is able to enter into some very stringent law-binding agreements that do not have any time constraints. As Kendirck stated in the talks, what is time to a god?
After the angelic host was satisfied the party turned to the very dead hag who was with Fallon at the start of the combat and started to question her about what he was doing and where he was going. (don't get a save for the same alignment)
 . (me speaking as the dead hag)
After pumping her for several answers they put her head in a bag and were off. Thus ending this arc of the story.
All in all I am looking forward to running the RHoD with new blood.....

Yeah, those are just the plastic ones!!! Metal ones are stored in cases in a seperate area. The Nameless, I am waiting for the WDQ to come out to add to that collection!!
The game session was a blast and a lot of fun as always....

| Thanks for sharing but that can't be D&D, where are the pizza crusts? where are pretzels being used for cover? I think this was all staged. That wasn't a real game. This and the moonshot. It's a conspiracy I tell you. Now others will see these shots and expect our games to be neat and clean!

I am working on it. If you look over Matt's shoulder you will see a D&D poster. It is a poster of all the dragons out of the MM1. I have seen some other D&D posters at Wal-Mart. But I have to be sans wife for some reason.....[:p]
