I'm looking for a little info from those who are familiar with AoW. I don't want spoilers as I'm playing through it right now, but would like a little advance info.

Our party has just defeated the necromancer of Diamond Lake (first adventure in the series) and I was wondering how much of the rest of the Adventure Path is in Diamond Lake? I'm considering taking over the observatory as a base of operations, but if very little of the rest of the Adventure Path is in Diamond Lake it's a waste of my character's resources, and a waste of my personal time and effort.

I'm assuming there's about 6-8 Dungeon Issues which comprise the adventure path. Can anybody tell me the general locations of the adventures (Diamond Lake, Free City, Alhaster, etc)?

Thanks!

Adventures 1-2 in Diamond Lake
Adventure 3 on road between Diamond Lake and Greyhawk
Adventures 4-5 in Greyhawk
Adventure 6 back in Diamond Lake
Adventure 7 in Amedio Jungle
Adventure 8 in Alhaster
Adventure 9 on a forgotten island
Adventure 10-11 in the Great Rift
Adventure 12 in Alhaster

I think I got them all right, going by memory. Also, all locations in Greyhawk. Your campaign may differ.

Just what I was looking for! (Free City = Greyhawk, apparently -- my DM has modified slightly for his own campaign world.)

With a third of the adventures in/around Diamond Lake it may be worth it to make a permanent base of ops there. That, and it's good character building/background opportunities.

Exactly. And by the time the Adventure Path moves beyond Diamond Lake, your party will have the resources to return to your hideaway/lair/fortress basically at will.
