You need Acrobat Reader to view/open the maps (http://www.adobe.com)
You need Acrobat to print tiled, and either a post script capable printer or print tiled to PDF and then really print that PDF.
Feel free to PM me for more detailed help if needed.

Wonder whether any publishing company has their eye on this thread? Authoring, cartography (hopefully editing), courtesy maxminis members. All that remains is art/layout, printing/distribution.
