My second level monk who has the vow of poverty, ha sbeen transformed from a human to a lycanthrope(tiger) my question is this do i now add the vow of poverty levels to include his new hit dice as a tiger so he would be a level 8 or does it just stay at level 2. cheers

Two things.
Thing the First: that is crazy powerful, and will likely lead to all of the other players throttling you for being so much better than them that they get bored, or the DM will have to ramp up the challenge to make you actually have to work that the game becomes too lethal for the other pc's. If you want to keep playing the character, then you should use the rules to build up the lycanthrope animal hit dice and template abilities found here:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20031212a
.
Thing the Second: yes, animal hit dice count. The LA from the template itself does not, however.

actually the rest of the party are at level 13 or so, i was the one who was way behind, i had stopped playing for about 2 years and the rest of the group has kept on advancing, so now im ecl 11 which still puts me slightly behind the rest of the group
