| Well, the complete set is known now, with images scanned from InQuest hosted here:http://homepage.ntlworld.com/faceless-illusion/dreamblade.htm
Any of these make good proxies for RPG? I plan on at least tracking down the Lunar Handmaiden for use as an enlarged female elf/half-elf/human, and maybe some of the redcaps, just because. | | Champion of the Entire Monster Manual 1! | due top the size differential I can only see using handful as enlarged PCs.
The hooded boneclaw/wraith looking thing is cool, other than that they are a bit silly looking for my taste. | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis

| Because of the size difference I wouldn't use any of them for PC. I might pick up the odd one for a unique monster but thats about it. I can picture maybe 3 of them too use way down the road. It also depends how easy they are too snap off them bases. | | Champion of the Peryton Vindicated Champion : Pit Fiend, Devourer DW: Duergar Priest RPG Only!!!! The Drumming Drunkn' DM | |

| Valor: Brighthammer Avenger might be a decent Pit Fiend. Runetagged Brawler could make a decent Clay Golem. Steelborn Griffin looks exactly like, well, a Griffon. Zungar Bodyguard could make a nice alternate Iron Golem. Steelborn Lion is kind of an ugle Dragonne.
Personally, the only Dreamblade mini I definitely want is the Large Pair of Boots (or whatever they're calling it) [:D]
I'll have to deliberate whether or not to get the inevitable Gazebo [:O] | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? Champion of Dwarven Thunderlashers Knight of the Large Dire Chicken Have/Want List Trade References

| The boots rock. They are so amusing. I hear the arm poking out from underneath them is a gnome.
So, having seen a mess of the minis, here are my thoughts ... first of all let me say that many of them would work very well for DDM terrain / non-living objects - decorations, etc. (Scarab Warcharm for one ROCKS)
Enlarged, most of them could work has half giants, etc. if you wanted. The Lunar Handmaiden, for instance, would work great in that regard (although she's not too oversized).
Knight of Tomorrow - plate armor and mace Noble Dragon - looks good - could be a gem dragon proxy Saint of Roses - very cool mini - if nothing else, an excellent piece of terrain / statue Loyal Scragglemaw - big lion thing ... Horrid Lion? Runetagged Brawler - isn't that big, really. Could pass for medium sized. Steelborn Lion and Griffon both look great - Lion is more construct-ish but the Griffon is fabulous Book of Nothing - great figure, very creepy Chrysalis Spinner - is a great, odd, insectoid Iron Thug - this is a chain golem Blight Rat - I like this for a templated Were Rat / other rat beat Dreadmorph Ogre - This thing is awesome. I see this as a Daelkyrified Ogre from Eberron. Eater of Hope - This thing is awesome. I will use this someday, somehow. Ekkyon Wayfarer - This thing is awesome. Big scary dude with huge axe. What's not to love? Horrid Poltergeist - This mini is clear on the bottom, painted on the top with a nice fade between them. Pretty spiffy undead. Jack of Blades - Another good undead. Night Queen - Excellent spider priestess thing. Treacherous Concubine - This chick is hot - except for those tentacles coming out her back and she's not to big to be a good proxy. Alluring Succubus is too big to be a good proxy I think. Bladehound - Er ... Weretouched Master anyone? Blind Spikemauler - could see this as any generic demon Blood Wolf - maybe, got enough wolves though Boneclan Hunter - this is a half-ogre barbarian or half-giant or something ... seriously, it is a perfect proxy Flame Harrower - I can find a use for this - flaming armored dude Forgeblind Punisher - this mini looks so cool, I will have to use it in RPG sometime Dryad - it's a dryad eh? we don't have one in DDM yet and she looks perfect for the job Prowling Leopardman - were-thing ... definitely a use in RPG Raging Tusker - didn't get a chance to see this up close Savage Ogre - wrong color, but I like this better than the skirmisher and it's a common in Dreamblade ...
So, that's that.
Frankly, the one reason I think this game may do better long-term is that so many of the minis in this set could find a home in D&D RPG. I did ask a while back about d20 supplements for the dreamscape, including templates, etc. and mdonais said they had no specific plans but were open to it. Imagine "Dreadmorph" as a template, etc. | | Triangle DDM Skirmish Group | My Email | 45-ish trades and counting | Stuff for Trade * * * Show your brother some love and click here * * *

| Nice demon proxy

Not sure what I'd use this one for, but it's cool as all hell

I think whoever designed this one was watching too many Looney Tunes cartoons. [:p]

Okay, this one is just wrong [:D]

| Theres definatly a LOT that will work for DnD. The Lone wolf will make a nice Werewolf lord for the end of your adventure (or adventurers [:)])
I also plan on using some with a quick greycoat as statues. Some of the slimier ones will be touched up and plopped into my Age of Worms campaign. | | Looking for someone to cosponser a midwest DDM event. let me know if your interested! Check out my brand new blog: http://bshugg.blogspot.com

Totally agree I usually just glue the mini over the slot but thats only on small amd medium bases anyways. Large bases have no hole. Like I said if I can get them off the bases onto GW bases I can use a few of them for D&D. | | Champion of the Peryton Vindicated Champion : Pit Fiend, Devourer DW: Duergar Priest RPG Only!!!! | Now that I've taken the time to take a look, many of these could be useful to me for their RPG value as minis. I also think that quite a few could find a place in a d20 Modern campaign, possibly a CoC campaign too.
