What happens if a Knight ceases to be lawful?

I don't have my PHB2 with me at the moment (work and all) and can't recall what, if anything, they lose.

I already looked at the WotC excerpt and did not see anything regarding this.

Thanks!

PS: Do they lose the benefit of their Armor Mastery ability to be specific.

I believe its the same as a Monk that ceases to be lawful.

I think they would keep all their abilities but would not be able to advance in this class anymore.
In other words when the PC goes up in level they would have to multiclass and would not be able to advance as a Knight unless they were lawful again.

I wish they had actually put this in the description of the class. Before you put this interpretation, I thought not being lawful would mean the Knight losses all class abilities like a paladin that stopped being good. Now what was posted seems reasonable as well and probably is better since a lot of these abilities aren't somethig that are dependant on alignment like a cleric's abilities are.

If I had a player who did this, I would also enforce the penalty for violating the code of conduct of a knight. But that is just me and probably is farther than you need to go.

I would allow them to keep their abilities like Count Dooku suggested. Mainly, I find it interesting character wise. Now I would allow them to take new knight levels if they returned to being lawful. I see it as a knight who lost his way, and forgotten a path of virtue. Yet so many knights can regain their honor.

It's not like a paladin because the powers are inherant/learned rather then divine in nature.

I don't have the book in front of me, but I would probably take away up to half of their class abilities.

You lose all your "Challenge" based abilities but keep the rest and can not advance.

Since minor infraction of the Knight's Code normally cost Challenge uses losing your lawful alignment just takes away all those uses. No uses mean no abilities.

This is what I believe happens as well.

Guess we won't know for sure without an errata or clarification.
