| | Does anyone know of a book or supplement - 1st or 3rd party - that has a Martial Paladin, by that a mean a paladin shorn free of spellcasting ability and connection to the church? | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

| I believe Complete Divine, Complete Warrior or Defenders of the Faith has rules for non-spellcasting rangers and paladins.
I cannot recall exactly which one it is as I don't have them with me at the moment. | | Champion of the Mimic; Knight of the Caryatid Column Called Shots: Unhallowed - Tomb Mote Vindicated Called Shots: Blood Wars - Solar Aberrations 60/60, Deathknell 60/60, Angelfire 60/60, Underdark 60/60, Wardrums 60/60, WotDQ 60/60 | |

| | Check out the PHB2 for the Charging Smite alternate ability, so you can replace the silly Poke-mount. | | Champion of the Aboleth, Prophet of Denizens. BW Called Shot: Babau, UH Called Shot: Aspect of Vecna | |

| | Do you want to remain 100% Paladin. Multiclass out after you get Divine Grace or Turn undead to power divine feats. | | Trades: dj-chuckles (complete) Sales: Kestral.ca Bad Trade: Chaotic Good | |

It's not for me, I am the DM. What it is for is to replace the spellcasting traditionally church-bound paladin in the game world. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

| | Ok I was going to suggest some form of multiclassing or the Knight class from PHB 2. | | Trades: dj-chuckles (complete) Sales: Kestral.ca Bad Trade: Chaotic Good | |

| | I recently played a martial paladin, all you have to do is look in the guide to faerun. Certain gods allow you to cross class freely in a specific class. For example; if you are a paladin of torm you can freely cross class as a fighter. This option is particulary powerfull with a paladin because it allows you to heal yourself and keep that great BAB. | | Peace is a lie; there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free. | |

| Along with Zardnaar I will recommend the Knight from PHB2. It's a very good class for a more 'honor bound' Fighter without the zealotry (that a word?) of a Paladin. I've replaced Paladins with Knights in my core games and the players seem to like them, I've got two in the party right now. :p
