Destrachans could proxy for Digesters and Yrthaks.

Massasi sith Mutants from Star Wars Champions of the Force could proxy for Bearded Devils.

I would disagree. Destrachans are roughly the right shape, but are Large. Digesters are medium.
Digesters are the wrong shape and size for Yrthaks. Yrthaks are Huge, winged..ummm...things.

I would agree that they work in a pinch. I greatly prefer the quality of sculpt of the Bearded Devil, but for anyone on a budget the Sith Mutants are available for a pittance.

you could use dolgant monks as proxies for the bonedrinkers.

I am also using the ogre skimisher in ogre encounters, why do all the ogres need to be males... its sexism I tells you. [)]

Also you may want to use a different mini for the night hag initally, shoe or someone had an interesting idea in their write up, the night hag poses as an elf maid slave or something forcing the party to 'protect' her until she turns on them at the worst possible moment.

You could...however, lesser bonedrinkers are small. Dolgaunt monks are medium. I'm nitpicky about that, but YMMV.

First point: I don't yet have an Ogre Skirmisher.
Second point: Chainmail Ogre Trooper and Ogre Ravager are both female. What sexism are you referring to?

I take it you missed the "Female Elf (take your pick)" listed immediately above the Night Hag [)]

I have no chainmail minis so as a result have no idea what they look like. Just throwing another option out there (the sexism comment was a joke as the ogre skimisher is the first female ogre in DDM...laugh son its a joke)

hey no fair pointing out my failing eyesight(or lack of comprehensive reading skills), just because you young wipersnappers can read entire pages of text is no reason to make fun of older less competent gamers. [:p]

Bolded the important bit for those whose eyesight is failing [:P] Ogre Ravager was from Dragoneye.

Ogre ravager is female????? The card makes no mention of it and you made me look at the mini under strong light and magnifing glass and now I have to wash my eyes out, thanks, thanks a lot.

Young compared to me don't force me to take the ?? out of my profile and tell you how old I really am it would just depress me.

But enough of this thread derailment back to our regularly scheduled geek out on minis and modules.

I am running the RHoD and I do use your minis sugestions...but I don't have enough for some encounters so I use proxies for example,my failing eyesight again, I totally missed small on the bonedrinkers so I used dolgaunt monks.I also ignored the size of snig worg rider and use them as the goblin worg riders. Before WOTDQ I had no greenspawn so I used direwolves (same size and pose) afterall we do need to use some imagination.

Imagination in a roleplaying game? Surely you can't be serious [)]

I'll probably end up using a Huge Gold dragon for the yrthak. It's huge, it has wings, it's close enough for my needs. Besides, I really don't expect I'll ever use it as a Huge Gold dragon. Might was well get some mileage from it [:D]

For the bugbear sorcerer I found a reaper mini that looks great! It's called an orc shaman, but personaly I think it looks more like a bugbear than an orc.

Side-by-side of Bearded Devil and Massassi Sith Mutant:

But hopefully, we will get a UC Bearded Devil in BW.

The Sith Mutant just doesn't work for me, however, it's a good alternative if you don't have enough Bearded Devils (I have 3, but if things get hairy you could need 8). I'm really hoping there will be an uncommon with a sculpt that is very similar to the Harbinger mini (the Harb sculpt is one of my all-time favorites).

The Mage Knight Swarmling looks like an excellent Spider Eater (I'm hoping it scales correctly as a large). They're cheap, but unfortunately hard to find (only two ebay sellers, one charging ridiculously high shipping).

Crested Felldrake (particularly the Chainmail variety) or even the Horned Felldrake would make acceptable digesters. They're still just not quite right, but then again, we're also missing an acceptable hydra.

Since the gencon promo is a bit out of my budget on ebay at the moment, I'll wait until November to grab my 5 Thunderlizards [:D]

Yeah, the bearded devil mini is really one of my favorites too.  Of course, i have about 100 favorites, but the bearded devil is a favorite among the favorites for me :)  I liked him so much that i bought him, and included him in my campaign almost right away (the PCs were about 4th level by then, so he was a recurring vilain for a short while.

I think the Warden would be good for this encounter.  We actually used the combat medic as we were in a bit of a rush.  Once the devils were uncovered, I switched her out for the hag (see thread:  "Chaotic Good Act?")
