One gave the archer the ability to avoid AoO and the other gave archers the abilitity to take an AoO when another one of his companions does. Any help would be much appreciated.

IIRC, both of those abilities were from the Order of the Bow Initiate from the 3.0 Masters of the Wild (Close Combat Shot and something else). Only thing I can think of that's close is the Arrowmind spell from the Spell Compendium (don't provoke attacks of opportunity while using a ranged weapon, can make attacks of opportunity with a ranged weapon).

I'm pretty sure the Order of the Bow Initiate is in the Complete Warrior as well. Also, Races of the Wild has a feat called Defensive Archery, which provides an AC bonus to AoOs from using ranged attacks.

I will have to check complete warrior as well.

It is in the sword and fist instead of the masters of the wild but you are right either way. The feats that I was looking for are abilities of the prestige class. A couple of changes were made when updated in the complete warrior.
