| Dont know if this is old news..But I found the 2007 Wall Calendar in my FLGS. They even say on the front of it that the paintings are all "Fan-Selected Images". You guys remember the poll of WotC's website?
Almost all the paintings in the calendar was stuff I picked so I definitly cant complain. The most awsome paining by far in the calendar is "The Rage".
There are only 2 Im "Meh" about (Master of Chains and The Epic Blackguard) and 2 that I think stink (Scarlet Corsair and Stormlord).
So the calendar definitly getts a thumbs up from me.
I have only 2 compaints:
#1 - The name of the pinting is in big giant letter along the side of each painting. Why? It kinda ruins it a bit. For example there is an awsome painting of a Blue Dragon in flight breathing purple lightning..It looks super-cool. But in big fat letters it says "Negative Energy Breath"..lame.
#2 - If there was a Fan-Selected poll used to choose the paintings, how in the Nine Hells did "Scarlet Corsair" end up in the calendar?
Its a painting of a warrior woman in revealing tight leather...But her face is so ugly that it would still be ugly if it were on a male half-orc. The painitng is just horrible. Who the heck chose it? And why were there more than one of the guy who chose it? | |
