Yup. I couldn't agree with you more. But I can't get enough of wierd mounted characters. I loved the sorcerer on the black dragon and Mamouth Hunter, and I want more like that.  I know, crazy.

| I know the creature doesn't have a very good rep, but i'd still like to see it come out also. I think that it's bad rep is among other things due to the excessive exposure it got during the creature competition. That, and the intelligent Vrock is probably not a very useful mount for her, considering her flight capacity that equals that of the Vrock.
However, the image is still interesting to me, enough to justify designing a modified Vrock for that purpose. For example, one that would be perhaps less intelligent, but stronger (and faster) than its brethren. And i would then see to it that the Vrock spores would not harm the Succubus when they are released.
So, in combat, the two creatures could act in synergy. Give Eludicia paladin levels (i believe that's how she was designed?) and the melee attacks and spores and screech of the Vrock would make it difficult to hold up against the two of them.

| There have been 2 creature competions since.
The second competition had an Etherial Filcher Monk as the winner (Im not kidding).
The 3rd one is almost over...All the competitors were dragons with different templates and character classes attached. | |

If there was Ptolus, you would not have to go far for an explanation since there is an actual organization that is based around redeeming monsters that are typically evil, actually called the Redeemers Guild, and they pay PCs who bring in creatures. A great motivation for PCs not to kill everything they meet. | |
