Not sure if this has been seen yet but just came across it http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=products/dndacc/956817200 I will buy it but I hope its not like 4 with mostly just classes of monsters.

If people don't like the new format, don't buy it. It just encourages more of the same. I personally don't mind, but buying just for the sake of buying won't change the format not matter how much others complain about it if the sales are good.

still going to buy because there are new monsters in there that I want. Its just the class format I didn't like.

However, those gamers who buy everything WotC puts out ruins the possibility of this happening. To me it's just silly to buy a book you don't want just for the sake of completism. It's your money, do as you please but I don't get it.

Have you gotten an insider look? I had no real issue with the format of the book but the thing that soured me on MM 4 was no previous edition monster conversions.

This is why I think the PDF versions are better buys when you only like part of a book. Profits go down but you still help the company stay afloat. You aso can get the book later if you want and you haven't spent too much to preview the item.

To me, a bunch of classed humanoids is far more useful than the equivalent space spent on a bunch of new humanoids I'll never use. Two pages of pre-statted orcs is better than 2 pages spent on armadillo men, in other words. I hope that V is a lot more like IV than it is like II or III.

I really didn't like the wide assortment of bizarre creatures in II and III. I hope that V is like IV, but only with more creatures in it. The main thing I didn't like about IV was the small amount of creatures in it.
