Hey all,

I am thinking about playing a warforged PC in a non- Ebberon setting. But i'm wondering what are the relevent books for worforged. IE: where can i find the PC stats and such?

"Well maybe Mr. T hacked the game and created a Mohawk class! Maybe Mr. T is handy with computers! Had that ever occurred to you Mr. condescending Director!"

If you're playing in a non-Eberron setting, you might not need/want everything else that comes along with the Eberron Campaign Setting book.

In that case, the Races of Eberron sourcebook takes the Warforged, Shifter, Changeling etc, and gives them the standard race treatment, along with everything else you need to play these races in other settings.

The only negative thing I have heard about Races of Eberron, is that it doesn't reprint one or two armour feats from the Eberron Campaign Setting that are popular choices for Warforged, but I wouldn't let that stop you from purchasing Races of Eberron, as it otherwise greatly expands on the options and feats found in the Eberron Campaign Setting for these races, and you can always source these feats from someone with the Eberron Campaign Setting book if you need to.

Races of Eberron might also be easier to persuade your DM to allow a Warforged in his campaign, as it is setting-neutral, and not Eberron-specific.

Though in your case, I would probably recommend Races of Eberron, one other place you can obtain information on Warforged would be MMIII.  Though you wouldn't find all the other feats, options and description in MMIII that either the Eberron Campaign Setting or Races of Eberron has, if you were going to purchase a new MM anyway, that is one place you might perhaps find enough information on Warforged to play a character.
