| For the most part, it looks good. Lowering the AC by taking away the natural armor is not a bad idea, but I'm not sure about the stats. You can do it, it's your game, but it does have effects.
Just a few errors if you're going to take off hit dice:
Spirit Naga: Con 15 (+2 bonus) gives it +12 hit points (hp 29), 6 HD gives it a BAB of +4, a grapple of +12, and Bite +7, Fort +4, Ref +3
Invisible Stalker: Con 13(+1 bonus) gives it +6 hit points (hp 26), 6 HD gives it a BAB of +4, a Str 17 (+3 bonus) gives it a Grapple of +11 and a attack of +7, and Will +4
In general through this thread, you can avoid the mistakes by looking at the type of the creature (aberation, elemental,giant, construct, etc) seeing what kind of BAB and saves they get from Chapter 7 (page 305) of the Monster Manual and then use that to see what column of Table 3-1 in the PHB (page 22) the change in hit dice would cause to these things (wih HD=Class Level). | |

| If you want to, sure. Why not? Remember the monsters are given average hit points, so you can up it without upping the HD if that is what you want. You could also return their CON score to what it originally was if you lowered it. Your choice. Again, there's no even recommneded way of lowering a CR on a creature so you have to go by feel.
After I posted last night I rememberd another thread where similar things were talked about, but it was adding positive and negative levels to a creature. In the future, you could try that. | |

| Sorry for the wait. We'll forget the Dragon for now.
What's really on my mind is one part of my adventure when the PCs knock out the half-feind Druid and a Collosal Kraken sucks the islands toward it to devour any who dwell on them.
My question is how would I play out that part of the adventure? Would the PCs make strength checks to battle the current in their boat? And what about the other islands coming at them? I don't know how to appraoch this. | |

Islands don't float. They're pieces of land, i.e. earth and stone, that extend beyond the waterline. If the current is strong enough to move that land, it'll collapse into the water like a sand castle hit by a wave. I don't think there would be any "islands coming at the PCs' boat" due to the current. You might have some debris, uprooted trees or the like if the islands collapsed. But to actually have an entire island collapse under the effect of a strong current for such debris to exist, we're talking an i]immense kraken here. Think about it: islands resist easily to hurricanes, gale force winds and very strong water currents. That kraken would need to be like the size of a country or something. They could walk on its back for days without seeing the ocea

| Darn, why is it that I always forget the obvious?
Of course this is D&D, so the obvious can be thrown out the window.
The islands are the backs of creatures that moves thowards the Kraken when called. There, that will be better, right?
It will be quite fun. The PCs will think they have won when suddenly there is a screeching sound from under the surface. Fishing boats start to be crushed and dragged under the surface as the islands move toward the destruction. The PCs faces will be funny to see. I might have to take a picture . | |

| I'm not sure i understand exactly what you have in mind or what you want from us: you want someone to design the encounter for you? If so, sorry but i'll pass, i'm not into doomsday creatures myself
Anyway, what CR are you looking at? Earlier in your post, you were designing CR 5-6 creatures, now you want a kraken capable of sucking other island-sized creatures into its maw? That would be one gigantic kraken there. I guess it would hit the suggested upper threshold of 60 HD and be far, far away from your other previous CRs.
Why don't you try designing something and ask people for their input? You might have more success than asking others to do all the work.

| My original idea was for the Pcs to have to escape by paddling against the current back to the docks. You've made me get a better idea. I'll make the PCs fight the Kraken. I'll have to make the kraken smaller of course. The island creatures will make a circle and the kraken's will attack from the center and the outer rim.
I'll be back with the stats. Then you guys can help me make it more realistic since I can't make a proper creature. | |

| Seeing as the adventurers will be levelling up, I have two one on five battles. I'll say one battle the PCs will be level 6 and the other level 7 (Guessing all will be same level for worst case senario).
One is a Samurai with an intelligent sword (Anyone know where to find this class (PrC?))
The other is with a...well he's like a scientist who's done some experiments on himself giving himself some extra-ordinary abilities.
So what level should these guys be? The samurai will be the first battle.
Also, I've made the master of the Naga. I'm not sure if I did his attacks and dmg properly.

The attack bonus is fine. It's your damage that has problems. You are missing some very important numbers in there.

Requirments:
Knowledge (engineering) 4 ranks
Craft (armor or weaponsmithing) 4 ranks
Feats- Iron Will, Toughness
Special- Must have one iron limb.
Item- Artisan's Tools
Features:
Metal Combat- All dmg you take is halved into repairable dmg and healable dmg since you are able to block well with your iron limb.
Metal Pass - You may pass through 1ft/level of metal.
Repair - Imbuned into iron limb. You may use a partial action during combat to heal the rolled dmg (repairable only) barring a concentration check DC 15. When not in combat you completely repair the repairable dmg in dmg/2 minutes. If you have mwk artisan's tools, divide the dmg by 3 instead.
Rusting Grasp - Imbuned into iron limb. Use as though casting the spell.
Metal Shape - As tree shape, but you turn into either a slab of iron, a suit of armor (full plate), a large longsword (completely made of metal), or a large Greataxe (completely made of metal).
Magnetism - Imbuned into your iron limb. Anyone attacking you with a metal weapon (melee)must maken a DC 10 str check or lose grip on their weapon and have the weapon 'stick' to the iron limb until the magnetism stops at which point it falls to the ground. Someone can try to do another str check as an attack to pull the weapon off and get it back. All attacks (including ranged) that use metal weapons are targetted to the iron limb. Thus all dmg done that way is repairable dmg.
Summon Creation - You may summon any one of your past metal creations (i.e. Iron Golem). You take dmg equal to half the creation's HP when summoning it.
So what do you think? This will be what the Scientist will be. | |
