I did some work on some of  the prestige classes in complete scoundrel.  If you own the book,  take a look at   Grey Guard,  Spellwarp Sniper,  and Combat Trapsmith and tell me what you think.   I worked on others but they were changed from my original versions a great deal.   I'm looking for a critique on  balance,  creativity, how interesting and useful they are, and how likely people might play them.Â

Thanks!

Honestly my favorite part of this book are the feats which combine the abilities of two classes when multiclassing (Swift Hunter, Daring Outlaw etc.) but that's mostly because I tend to multiclass a lot. I also like the skill tricks but feel that they're too good for just two points. You didn't work on it but my favorite prestige class in the book is the Mountebank. I like the opportunity to move around the battlefield.

Of the prestige classes you worked on:
Grey Guard - I like the concept of it and the ability to stray outside the Paladin's code of conduct a little bit for the greater good. There's some good roleplaying opportunities there. The mechanics of the class are a bit lacking. You're taking away or weakening major paladin abilities (mount and spellcasting) and not giving much back in return. I'd probably play the CG paladin alternative instead of this prestige class if I were to go with this character concept.

Spellwarp Sniper - I remember joking with some of my friends a while back that they should make a rogue with one level of sorcerer then sneak attack people with Ray of Frost. We were joking because it seemed like a munchkiny thing to do. This prestige class seems to have taken that munchkiny concept and built on it.

Combat Trapsmith - This is a cool concept and different from most prestige classes. I might take levels in this. I especially like that it's only a five level class. It lets you become good at one thing and then you're done. Of the three I would be most likely to take this class.

Brad- I'll make sure to give them a look as soon as I get it in hand, and let you know.

Also, head over o the optimization boards, they should be able to let you know if there's anything broken...

It's for every class and alignment not just rogues and bards.   There's classes and skills for paladins even.  Basically its for people who want to make their characters more  "Han Soloish" or "Indiana Jones" like.

They should have just called it complete Harrison Ford...
