| | I can't seem to open the LM errata files on WotC's site. Has anybody here done so? Or has anyone seen the errata on the Dire Maggot? It's stat block is a complete wreck. It's listed as a small creature, but some of it's stats, including the art, imply that it's huge. Anyone know which it is? | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. It's old and stuffy. - Originally Posted by BabWryter on Kenzerco.com | |

| I was just able to download the errata. Here is the entry on Dire Maggot:
Page 95: Dire Maggot Change the creature’s statistics as follows: Huge Vermin Base Attack/Grapple: +4/+13 Attack: Bite +3 melee (1d8+1 plus paralytic saliva) Full Attack: Bite +3 melee (1d8+1 plus paralytic saliva) Advancement: 7–11 HD (Huge) In addition, add the following statistics after the Challenge Rating line: Treasure: None Alignment: Always neutral
Hope that helps. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

It sure does. TYVM.
Edit: This causes a slight problem with EtCR. There's an encounter with dire maggots and they're listed a small. The tatical encounter map has them as occupying a single space. And the flavor text has them feeding a a single dead corpse (because they're only 4 ft. long). I think a huge maggot would consume a med. creature rather quickly. I know what changes I could make to fix the encounter, but it's frustrating that EtCR has so many editing issues. It's a solid product otherwise.
Edit II: They're in another encounter as well, except in this one they won't be able to even fit in the room. Grrrrrr!!! | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun.
