Here's one:
Weapon Shop- I can make your sythe cold worked for an extra 500 gp.
Me- (hmmm, that means cold dmg I think) o.k.
I then later asked the DM if it would do extra cold dmg. He laughed saying it wasn't magical and that I could only do more dmg to faries. | |

Technically "cleric" is a bastardization of "clerk" which is itself a bastardization of "clark." Calling a cleric a clerk is perfectly acceptable from an etymological standpoint (and it makes sense since the historical duties of clerics were bookkeeping). In England the word "cleric" is often pronounced "clerk" while the word "clerk" is still often pronounced "clark" (one of my professors at Cambridge is living proof of that).

were in a situation where some of them had to pretend to be
entertainers while the others inverstigated the place. So the
druid summons some dogs and has them do tricks. For the grand
finale, she has the dogs somersault into the air...
And then she casts Hold Animal.
She honestly though it would freeze them in midair.
Poor dogs. They felt so betrayed.
Funny, though.

| My wife has been playing D&D for six or seven years now. She's always preferred the roleplaying side of things to the combat side. Just this last week her rogue (she always plays rogues) acquired a +1 rapier. She seemed disappointed and indicated that the magic weapon was no big deal, asking why she'd prefer it over her masterwork sword. It turns out that she had no idea that +1 (or higher) weapons gain a bonus to damage!
But I'm not complaining...it's just nice to have a wife who's willing to roleplay with me. | |

Judging by the stuff you find on youtube, a lot of people would be entertained by this as well.
