| | I have been RPGing in a Dragonlance Campaign for about two years. My DM and one other player have the Campaign Setting, so I could look at it to read the answers to these questions. I am not sure if the answers to these questions are in the Campaign Setting or somewhere else.
I really would like to know two things right now.
One is the location of non-magical Dragonlance specific weapons (like the Kenders' hoopaks) and armor (if any). By location, I mean which book and which page.
The other question is about kender. My wife is playing a kender. We heard that there is a chart somewhere where you can roll and find out what a kender has pulled out of his/her own pocket. It was a fun, random chart of fairly useless things. But it has a nice flavor to it.
I would appreciate any information anyone could share about these two questions.

| If no one beats me too it, I'll give ya the page number for the kender gear later. Regarding the random kender pouches I'm not sure that that was in the campaign book, but something found at www.Kencyclopedia.com
Might be overlooking it, but not finding any references to the mundane equipment in any of the 3e DragonLance sourcebooks I have. | |

My wife found the Kencyclopedia thing on her own after I set up this thread and she has printed some stuff from that for the pouches.
So far, the best I can find about the hoopak is chat about it on a thread at a Dragonlance website of some kind where people were posting about it in 2005. Someone said something about using the stats for a small shortspear when using the pointy end, using the stats for a small quarterstaff when using it as a bludgeoning wpn, and using the stats for a sling when using the sling portion. The wpn requires two hands for use, including the sling portion. It is an exotic wpn. Kenders are automatically proficient with the wpn due to race, like all elves are proficient with longswords.
This was more or less what people's opinions were. Nobody on that site referenced any books that I could tell. I only have heard of the Campaign Setting and the Bestiary of Krynn.

| | The hoopak could be simulated by the war sling in Races of the Wild. It has that kind of feel to it being able to deal significant damage, the ability to throw skiprocks from it, and a weapon designed by halflings (which kenders somewhat resemble). | |

| The stats for the Kender Hoopak along with a few other DL specific weapons are located in a small printed book (pamphlet) that is included with the 3.5 Dragonlance Dungeon Master's Screen. Check your local gaming store, ebay or the www.dragonlance.com
I also believe it is being reprinted in the new Beastiary of Krynn. Think monster manual for Dragonlance. Goes for about 30 bucks. DM screen would be cheaper (more like 10.00) Both I think are still available in the Sov Press online store. SP just lost the Dragonlance license though so if you want to get some of these products, you gotta get em before the end of the year. | |
