| My oh my. It almost seems like WoTC has someone determined to spolis as much as possible with all the troubles they have had lately.
Edit: naw, is nothing sinster I see, just an early newstand thing. | | "Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don't look like mutton again tomorrer." | | Not so bad, but there are release dates that are sometimes different from the dates the stores receive the items. And imagine this: if it's on the newsstand early, some might not go to their LFGS. I've heard personally from a store in my area that when this happens it can be very problematic for them. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| | A Star Wars product popping up a week or two early is nothing new to WotC or Hasbro I think. Remember the Episode III toys? As far as the recent minis spoilers, that is the first time I have seen a whole set leaked in one swoop. They'll be more careful in the future I hope. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

| | In essence, it's "what I've been waiting for." I played Star Wars back in the handful of d6's days and had lots of fun. As for D20 products I've only played D&D but I have a copy of the revised core rulebook for Star Wars. I've been wanting to get a game going for awhile and started getting some Star Wars minis around last Xmas, which is also when I first heard about Saga edition. Every preview I've seen has made me look forward to it more. I'm especially psyched about "streamlined" character design and combat. I also think the condition track in conjunction with HPs gives an easy to use system that is still intriguing to play. I'm totally on board with the idea of seamlessly transitioning from character combat to vehicle or starship combat. | | Barnes and Nobles ordering has it at June 5th. Sometimes they do get it on the shelf a day or two earlier than LFCS, so it should be this week across the board. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| | I wonder how many people will skip right over this assuming it's a diceless system. | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. | | Because of the Saga name? Never thought of that. My guess is few because those who care will find out more, but that is a total guess. I'll look out for it now that you mentioned it. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

My assumption was that it was a the Star Wars version of the Saga System. Once I saw the scan of the back cover and the d20 logo, it's easy to see it's not. I'm just thinking this is the exact type of thing that's likely to cause confusion. Maybe I'm under estimating people.
Maybe Dragonlance Saga was such a failure that they don't think enough people would even know about it. | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. That's my hope. From all I'm hearing, it would be a shame if it gets a bad rap because of that system. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| Just got my hands on it. I haven't begun a serious read through yet, but here are intial impressions:
Segments of it remind me of systems like Mutants and Masterminds, with separtate defense ratings for mental and physical. No AC, but defenses are more like saving throws, so there is a ref, will, and fort defense. Skills have been wrapped up into bundles (perception=listen and spot). Force points are like action points from Eberron, catching that heroic, over the top action, of characters in the movies.
I may be wrong (again haven't read), but classes are like those from Wheel of Time d20, where the classes are generic (scoundrel, scout, jedi) and then pretige classes get into jobs and roles like bounty hunter, sith master, jedi knight, gunslinger, etc.
Best of all, bok comes with a pull out map, ready to play.
Definitely interested in reading more. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow
