| What book are they in? Are they just human sorcerers or wizards? Are there specific spells they can cast? Is there a restriction on a witch's race? Have you used or encountered witches in campigns? How did it turn out?
I want to put a witch who uses voodoo in my adventure. I'm not sure about any of the mechanics of this type of NPC. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | | Never seen anything specificlly about them. The most I have see is the Hathran from Forgotten Realms, or you could take fatespinner Pclass. Vodoo and curses could be considered a spinning of fate. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| The "witch" is a sample prestige class from the DMG. Basically, a heavily-thematic adept-like character. Much more the wicked witch who lives in the forest eating naughty children rather than the creepy woman who sticks pins in dolls.
Can't think of any "voodoo" style D&D mechanics. Might be something similar in the Book of Vile Darkness? | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? Champion of Dwarven Thunderlashers Knight of the Large Dire Chicken Have/Want List Trade References | |

| You can always try this homebrew from over on the wizards boards, though it seems like it may be a pain to run.

| The DMG helped enough. I'll just create the class myself. I get how it works. The witch will be able to cast giant vermin on a wasp to travel around with her hut on it's back. She'll be high enough level for the sell to make it huge. She lands, the wasp gets smaller and it's like she telelported (to those who didn't just see the giant wasp flying around). | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | I'm not saying it's bad or anything (although not useful), but this is the second rpg thread of mine that in the end went way off topic.
Last on went from casting rift twice in the same area to the Olive Garden. Now this one going from witches to Wonder Woman.

| Well, it did look like you had gotten all the answers you needed. If not, speak up.
If you're looking for criticism on your idea (only thing I can tink of), why not just have the hut fly? It seems a little roundabout with the wasp. If the PCs are going to defeat the witch at some point, just have the hut tied to the witch so that if she dies, the hut looses it's special abilities. This way, you don't waste spells and time coming up with elaborate reasoning why no one would see (or hear) a huge wasp and you get the same effect. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

I got good answers. Critisism normally comes after I make the idea. But this is fine.
I was thinking to use the huge wasp as something that can fight the PCs while the witch flings spells from the back of the wasp. Otherwise once she's based she's done for. I want her to last longer than 2 rounds. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos.
