What's a good proxy for a Phargion?
Here's a picture:

They're like D&D Destroyer Droids (without the lasers or shields).
Anyways, I was thinking of them being hidden as wheels of someone important's coach or something along those lines. Just imagine if the wheels came to life and attacked. That's my idea, but that's beside the point.

Considering that the artwork depicts a robot I don't think you'll find a closer match. Besides, SWM minis are the same scale as DDM.

I'm pretty sure it's a magical beast. It's like a bug (iirc).
But from the looks of things I may have to go with starwars. I'm just not big on buying 4 of them.
