For the Skirmish attack it says you have to move at least 10 feet before attacking to be granted the bonus to damage.... so can you move one square over and then back again to the origianl space you were in for a total movement of 10 feet and still be granted the bonus. The whole purpose of the movement first is for the attacker with skirmish ability to be able to pick out a sweet spot for the attack.

I could see this one going either way.

I'm pretty sure the rules for skirmish state you move 10' distant from your starting position (ie there must be ten feet of space between where you make the skirmish attack from and where you started).  Otherwise what is the point of the ability?

Not sure if it's in the book or in the errata but there is a note somewhere that you must end your movement at least 10 feet from your starting square. It's probably in the errata.

Yeah, I don't have the errata handy, but I know I've read/heard that.

The text of the Improved Skirmish feat is more clear.  It states that you have to end your turn 20' feet from your starting point (for +2D6 damage and +2 AC more than your normal skirmish progression).Â
