But, you could try the online versions of the SRD (System Reference Document). Not sure what the links are for them right now, but I'm sure someone will post 3 or 4 within an hour or two!

Paizo is offering their initial draft of D&D 3.5 rpg rulebook as a free download. It is called Pathfinder. Some changes are being made, but is essentially the same as the SRD under the OGL.
