Having felled the door posing Mimic, the Kender (Toby) and Warlock (Lucien) rush into the dicotomy of a room cleaned yet filled filled with webs. They quickly find themselves swarmed by spiders of various sizes.

They descend the stairs of the temple, continuing their investigation they are attacked by a malicious Ghost. Tevan (Cleric) takes actions to protect the Kender despite his protest. The magic weilders blast it from afar.

A magic emanating door is the only of it's kind on this level, all having been long destroyed. Prudence wins out and they just have the Kender trip the trap, the little one is in agony for sometime after that. They find more clues to what transpired here 700 years ago.

Remants of a once large library are found in a large central room, a woman named Anasasa rumages through what remains. She says she searches for old stories and has been separated from her companion. Anasasa gives the mage what scrolls she's found but their greeting is disrupted when the others discover a small skeletal horde.

By now the Cleric Trevan has been drinking his homemade moonshine and is quite drunken, is a bit distressed he's disturbed to turn and destroy half the skeletons. Anasasa takes leave of the heroes and flees to safety. Threat ended the Cleric takes a nap.

Not ready to rest they continue to search and stumble upon a lurking Gelantious Cube, it marks Merric the ranger as its' dinner and the warrior takes the opening to attack freely, while being engulfed. The acids are too much and he is paralyzed, fortunately the others finish the ooze in due time. At this point confident nothing else hides on this level they gather the snoring Cleric and drag the limp Ranger, finding a room in which to sleep.

| During the night Kiri-Jolith visits his cleric stressing the importance of having his wits with him, the only cleric having walked these halls since Ogres slayed all preists some 700 years ago. A web filled stairwell descends to the next level, filled with swarms and the body of a now dead half-elf. Anasasa has not shown her face again but they've found her friend.

Lighting the webs afire takes care of the swarms but frees the trapped Ogre Zombies and Skeletons. Our admonished cleric turns the Ogre Skeletons, leaving the party to finish two bloated beasts.

When the skeletons don't return they complete the descent and find them taking their time. Statues of both Mishakal and Paladine animate to head off the intruders, however after our Cleric presents himself as a follower of Kiri-Jolith they stand down. The skeletal ogres are little trouble and our Wizard commands one to follow him. They find temples to all the gods and learn many clues of past events through visions.

A hall of buried dead, leads to a hallowed crypt. They find the temple betrayers' dead body and an artifact of good binding him in death a near millenium. A trapped bearded devil trys to make his escape, hard fought the heroes prevail.

| Inspecting the "betrayer's" dead body, a last vision plays out the events having transpired those 700 years past. They see a lone acolyte follow the former high preist of Mishakal into this room. He now sports the vestaments of his new lord Chemosh. The young man impales him as he completes his descent into Lichedom and leaves him so upon the rooms sarcophogus. Triumph is stolen as the neophyte preist is promptly slain by the rooms inhabiting devil. With much hesitation and fear of potentially releasing this Liche unto the world, they retrieve the short sword like crystal called the Shard of Light. Departing the crypts with both the artifact of good and the foul priest's skull mask of Chemosh in hand, they run into an elderly wizard looking for his separated apprentice. He grabs the aspiring red robe (Beliand) and disappears with him, the party is now one short. They continue their departure of the ancient temple of the betrayed, when the bag containing the magical mask begins to cackle with laughter. Upon inspection the mask flys out animated and laughing, it picks up speed as it circles the room overhead. After a few futile attacks and attempts to capture it, it too disappears. Hurying now they emerge into the light and it hits the elf (Lorinele)and half-elf (Lucien) like a brick. They then realize that they too have aquired the affliction that plagued the elves of Pashin. Returning to the location of tethered horses they stumble upon a loose startled warhorse and the decaying webbed bodies of the other steeds. Only an A is left to indicate who might have killed the equines. They travel to the oasis and the camp of the Mikku desert nomads. Finding that a caravan camps here too they strike up conversation and make agreements to join them in their trip to the nearest port town, planning to sail the bay and head to a former Kender capital. Not sure if they're being manipulated for good or evil they'd heard rumors of power to be obtained in the mountain of a dead dragon and will go their anyway. A Sorcerer (Cyren) working with the caravan decides his life of merchant traveling isn't quite as exciting as the tales of these guys and will join them on their trip.

Passing through the harshest part of the Khurish desert, the burning lands sends forth some scorpians to waylay the caravan.
They next find some crazy fire and heat worshipping cult, they sought to teach the large party a lesson for disturbing their rituals but were dispatched with relative ease.
They have to keep a fire elemental from getting to the horses.
Some fire dwarves (Azers) wander, looking for some phenomenon that none had ever heard of. Despite some exchanged threats, conflict is avoided and make the last leg to the port city Ak-khurnan unmolested.
(disclaimer the burning lands encounters were only conveyed to the players as "having happened" but were never played out, was more important to cut short the trip to introduce yet another new party member within the city) | | Champion of the Kender ckissee - "providing TPK's since 2007" Albert Einstein never once said that if the bees disappeared, "man would have only four years of life left" but the theory is a scary prospect.

| Within the bustling town and bidding the caravan leader a good life, the party splits to the wind. All looking to accomplish different things in this their first city of significance. The Ranger (Merrick) heads to the lighthouse housing the cities resident wizard, enroute he encounters a group of street bullying kids throwing rocks at a beleguarded teenaged woman named Astina. Given a taste of their own medicine and having fled, he learns the women is a mute and suffers much ridicule. This is learned from her twin brother Astari, who is thankful of the noble warriors chivalry. Lucien (Warlock) seeks out elves in hopes of learning info about his sun-biting plague, he quickly learns that he's unwelcome and no one has much to aid. He finds two squabbling elven merchants. Forced into competion in this city of their exile, one prospers and the other struggling is resorting to killing. The Warlock admonishes the elf and sends him on his way in threat of harm, the other now rescued rewards the half-elf generously. Our Swashbuckling elf (Lorinele) and former pirate, seeks out other pliers of his trade and does not turn up again (not returning to the game). Toby the kender too wanders off, only the Cleric expresses sadness at his disappearence (also likely gone from the game). Once the Warlock (Lucien) winds his way to the Lighthouse and learns all he can of the Shard, he hits it off with the resident wizard and they promise to share more stories after hours of operation. A second Ranger (Thwark) meets and speaks with the first (Merrick). He learns of their intention on heading to Kendermore and of the rumored beasts of the desolation nearby, he joins the party in trying to procure a ship. The animal handling duo spar while they wait for others to return to the agreed meeting place. They find a lost girl and return her home to her palace. Are rewarded by the eldest princess Chatomi. The Cleric of Kiri-Jolith seeks to be knighted and looks for an established knight to vouch for his heavily drinking self. He encounters Sir Lionel that besets him to deliever a letter to an elf in the Kender lands. He also finds a man plagued with a flesh eating disease, willing to sponser efforts to discover an anceint item of healing. This item(s) (Tears of Mishakal), may also heal the sunblighting affliction affecting the elves of Pashin and this party.

Pirates try and press them into service, this sounds appealing at first. They quickly learn they're not free to come and go as they please and have to fight their way free. The warlock (Lucien) and elder ranger (Thwark) return later to invoke vengence and maybe aquire some loot, but the ship had been abandoned and the pirates imprisioned for their crew aquiring activities.

In a back alley the night adventuring duo, run into an assassination. The assassins are intent on having no witnesses, and they could be in trouble. The bands leader recognizes Thwark (elder ranger), as she's the Khans eldest daughter Chatomi and lets them leave the city upon promise to never return. The ruthlessness of the Mikku realized.
Our younger ranger (Merrick) has an evening with the twin Astina and is given a golden charmed necklace of her own creation, Lucien (warlock) misses his date with the lighthouse wizard Zoe.

Our current party, from left to right. (Belliand the red-robed wizard is certain to return, while the sorcerer Cyren is allready an NPC and not returning) Thwark, the elder human ranger Cyren, the human Sorcerer Trevin, human Cleric of Kiri-Jolith Merrick, younger human ranger Lucien, half-elf Warlock

The Cleric Trevan has gotten passage on a different ship than the rest and his swift sailing vessal crosses the bay much faster. As such it is the first to be threatened by a group of water elementals. The crew and ship does not fare well and our Cleric is adrift upon rubble.

Merrick's desert hawk discovers the survivor adrift and two sail out to retrieve him. The row boat was a tough spot to fight from but the Sorcerer's and Warlock's long ranged magic allow them to prevail and rescue their friend.

Water Elementals go after the second ship as well, but the combined strength of the party united and the twin Astari are too much
Rest of the sailing trip is brief and Merrick (young ranger) trys to take the twin Astari under his wing. The city of Port Balifor is a strange sight, much is ruined and what remains clings to the cliff or is built within it. The red dragon Malys did a number here. Again they separate, but most eventually gather together and follow some secretive kender into the most ruinous parts of the city. | | Champion of the Kender ckissee - "providing TPK's since 2007" Albert Einstein never once said that if the bees disappeared, "man would have only four years of life left" but the theory is a scary prospect.
