I doubt it. It shouldn't be too hard to make a cg band that can smoke a LE band, and a LE band that can smoke a CG band. But I've been wrong before.
You can take advantage though if you see something to exploit. ie, your opponent's CG band would get slaughtered by your LE band, so you go LE. | |

Yeah getting pincered between my beholder/gauth/dbeast and Omands Dire bears/griffon probably wasn't much fun, but I think you would have been in much better shape had you not sent your Mind flayer after my weenies (which also made him an easy target for the gauth) and just let your dread guards hold off my beholder and gauth. | |

You were lucky and unlucky with me as well. Had I been a bit smarter with the start of my game you would not have been able to knock off one of the Dire Bears at all, and I would hopefully have smushed you sooner.
Ok, maybe not a nice thought for you.
That said, I only had one commander for my CG band, which was a definite weakness if anyone had been able to exploit it. I could have been in real trouble if your mindflayer had target some of my guys instead of running off at Idzy.
That said, if you had sent your Gauths in that direction as well you might have chewed up quite a bit of Idzy's army with less damage than my bears did to you.

Looking back I see that Idzy continues to pull away from me with his posts, but not fast enough to stay ahead of the surging crowds on the board. We've been around from near the start but are now being swamped by the newbies. [:D]

| It was the standard awesome turnout. Me Jay and Dan were there. We convinced Scott to play and played a 4 way game. It took a long time. I think I've realized I don't like multiplayers games, or overly restrictive warband building scenarios.
Some stuff's ok, but some is not. Particularly things that you can't just look at the stats and find out. Sex of mini is kinda ambigous in some cases.
Between the turnout, format, and being really busy the next couple of weeks I dunno if I'm gonna make it out for next week. | |
