| Alas, it appears that my travel schedule will prevent me from attending the 3/12 and 3/26 events. [:(] However, both my son and I will be at the Deathknell Prerelease on the 19th! w00t!

I don't know if my buddies will be attending. I know they had a great time and we've been analyzing and reanalyzing how to beat Corim's HEBIs. [}:)] We've also been working on some new converts.
I'll send Mook over here so that he can chime in for himself.

I don't think that my band was as dominating as you just made it sound. I barely won three of the four matches, and it could have gone the other way. I could easily have been 2-2 or something. I appreciate the indirect complement, though. I was impressed a bit by the Aspect of Bane/Green Dragon/Human Blackguard/etc. group. I haven't played against any of those three figures and have little idea what would happen. I just wish I had some more practice opportunity between Game Den events to gain more experience.

Just let me know, I need a chance to play also. when running an event, I do not get to play often. I started running events so we still had events going as no one was willing to run then. (we did have a store out of town that did, but attendance was mostly myself and a store worker) | |

| When my wife and I move up to UT on a permanent basis, we'll (yes, I said "we"...I'm one of the lucky few) be looking for a campaign to join. I've been DMing 2-3 campaigns down here, so I'm happy to do that as well...although I would enjoy a "rest". [:P]
Also, count me in on any non-sanctioned minis matches that you want to drum up. I'm tired of waiting for Mook to decide he can stop playing CPA during tax season. [V]

As soon as we can sell our house...which we're trying to do as we "speak". We JUST got our first call on it, so keep your fingers crossed.

Well, it was a small turnout today, 2 other large card events were held in the store at the same time so space was limited. As for a detailed report, I really cannot give one as I was running it, too much to remember and not enough detail to give. We did have 6 players and Corim Danex won.
many players did not show as they made arraingments for next weeks Deathknell event. Also the the repaint for the Deathknell event will be the flaming skeleton (with blue flame) | |

Going into the tournament, I was really planning to use a different warband from last time. However, nobody that I faced last time was there this time, so I figured, why not use the same band? It worked once, it might give me a chance at winning again. Inspiring Marshall + Elf Pyromancer proved to be effective again. That's a lot of line of sight space to worry about. There are ways of negating their effectiveness though.
With the upcoming release of Deathknell, I am expecting LE to get strengthened so that it will be easier to put together a strong LE warband. | |

He did have a first turn fireball in the first match, then is the second match he had another one. I do not think his opponites will let that happen again. | |

| | Deathknell turn out of 16 players. 5 rounds is a very long time. Schedule problems happened when a store worker informed several players that the start time was 2:00pm and not noon. This sure made fo a much longer day as several players showed up at 12:00. We finished up after 9pm | |

| I do not know think that our local place will offer much in prize support. It has been a chore getting them to offer something other then the retailer kits when they come in. I have finially gotten them to award boosters vs # of players. I know they will not go as far as a case to the winner.

There were just four players. Low turnout was likely due to being the week immediately following prerelease. Laioni is my wife. She played a drow themed band with an Aspect of Lloth and a Drider Sorcerer. I got second, playing a band that had the following:

League matches: This will depend on who is running them. basicly you play several games over a month time (a few days at a con) you gain points if you win. In some cases you are limited in the number of minis you are allowed to play with. as you win you pool of minis increases. When the time play is over, the one with the most points wins. You can play who every you like, but you can not play the same person 2x in a row.
Cost, I have no idea. I have not been. I do not know if I can make it to any events there. The only info I have gotten is from their web site and what Jana has told me (a few weeks ago) | |

This is Devin. I was the 4th person at the 3/26 tournament. I know I wasn't even worth mentioning (I'm pretty sure I lost them all) but hey, I forgot half my minis at home and I'm still learning. Anyway, I've just started up here at maxminis in the last couple weeks and I just saw this thread. First I had a few questions. Does anyone know where the Black Rose is located or also if you can join in the league tournaments still. Second, I don't have very many huge minis for the 500 point tournament so I just wanted to make sure it's legal to bring minis that aren't huge as long as they're under the 8 mini limit. Lastly, none of my friends who went in with me to buy the starter set play anymore. But I really want to play still and once every other week just doesn't do it for me. So if anyone knows of any local tournaments, official or not, then please let me know. I'm a senior in high school so I don't have a lot of spare cash, but a lot of it goes towards D&D minis. So I just want to get more bang for my buck. So let me know if there are any other games going on. Okay I think that's everything. Thanks and see you guys this Saturday.

Hay Devin, good to see you here. I can get you the address to the blackrose on saturday. Their League games are more of a causal play, if you guy running the event shows up. I went last week to try it out and chattan showed up. They may change their nights to Thursday, but I do not have any more info.
I try to keep all events that I know of listed here.
As for the event on Saturday, you do not have to have huge figures to play, but the 500 pt adn 8 fig limit still apply. If you let me know ahead of time (before Friday) I may be able to lend you some minis if you need.
I hope to have some casual campaign play this summer in the West Jordan area.
