Next week is Campaign day in K-town, but none of us Ch'town guys are going as it will be B's birthday and we will pursue other pursuits.

| Call it a case of the Christmas blahs or an artifact of all the infighting that goes on at the table but it seems to be more of an effort and less of a joy to prepare things for the campaign lately. I spent a few hours stating out that grossly complicated Guardian of the Moons and was sort of surprised to have it be used. A lot of what I want to do is for me (god write ups for the gods no one ever takes for example) but it's crunch time with 8 hours of session and limited time to fill it with and many a Saturday night I am staring at a computer screen with a blank screen until late.
Add the lack of engaging and interested (in each others well being) characters and stir. I had no idea Gorson was plucked from a life of petty crime by followers of Sorra until Danny emailed me his character. details like that haven't arisen in ages and the characters seem like flat caricatures of people without depth.
I was disappointed in the lack of interest in the Resistance story arc but sometimes that's the way things go when I allow the Player's such free will. The Felrix angle was also interesting and new and Ray seemed to really respond to it, saying, "This is the most interesting thing that has happened to a character of his". He was killed the next session, squashing that. No one has an agenda. No guiding principle that naturally leads to adventure. Everyone just deals with whatever I feel like placing in front of you without adding anything of their own. Great battles against deadly foes.....and Boring.
Wheels spinning. Going through the motions of roleplaying, we are defeinately in rollplaying mode without attachment. Hell, Danny was the only Player to respond to my copy of character request.

I haven't felt any amazement at panoramic vistas painted in my head by a gifted storyteller. i guess i've been feeling blah as well. I don't know if it's that we have more players now, or if all of our personal styles aren't meshing. There has to be a change. let me ask you....what do YOU want to do? | |

We are getting nowhere. There has been no drive to get anywhere from any Player. Everything has been DM driven for months. I can say without fear of error that your style and those of Ray and often Danny do not mesh. The utter lack of energy from me is a reflection of the payback for my work in prep for the game. Nothing in for too long (character infighting, lack of depth, no backgrounds) equals little out. | |

I ran with them because, in the absense of anything else, they were all we had. Let me know what you guys ome up with. Preferably by Thusday so I can do some prep on it. | |
