Good point. I may buy some boosters there and join, I'll just play it by ear. Uh, aren't you required to be at the maxminis event since you're ramrodding the whole thing? [:D]
BTW, don't forget to update the original post with the new time (if that is what has been decided upon). I personally vote for starting later if it means more people will be able to join us.

| Ghendar, you were at Winter Fantasy 03?! No kidding... Were you playing DDM on the Satrday?! If so, I was one of the guys who smoked you! Not sure if you remember much about that tourney, but there were only 8 players... Striderlotr was one of them, as was Kiddoc... I was very pleased to win the sealed event, not knowing that Kiddoc would end up being National Champ!

I remember playing against a guy who killed me with an air elemental and a Dire Lion that just ripped apart my figures. That's about all I remember. Only played two or three matches and then dropped out.
BTW, I can now officially confirm myself and reezel for the maxminis tourney. Oh boy, more chances to lose. | | Ghendar - Bringin' the snark!

That was Saturday! I can't remember if we'd have played, but the band with the Dire Lion and Air Elemental was trying to take advantage of the old rule that allowed you to win by killing as many points as YOUR band contains... It was played by Theo, from Texas, I believe.
I smoked him with my band... I can't remember all I had, but I know that I had a Cleric of Grummsh, and as I recall some really good synergy...

I'm not sure what I'll bring yet, nor the boxes, but last year was so fun, and judging by the number of people interested, AND that we can play in the main minis, THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!!!

| Sorry for not posting here first (I posted in Pat Ellis's thread). I'll be there, so long as I don't have a judging commitment for the RPGA. So, put me down as a yes.
I'll bring good swag. Being a DDM tourney organizer and judge for the last year and a half means I've collected lots of good stuff. :)

| | Just out of curiosity....I know this is booster draft and all, but has there been any thought about using the battlemat for the Nat. Championships? Or are we just going to go with regular mat and tiles? I would be happy either way, but I think it would make it interesting to use the new mat. | | DDM - Harbinger = 77/80 Dragoneye = 60/60 Archfiends = 60/60 Giants of Legend = 72/72 Aberrations = 59/60 Deathknell = 59/60 Angelfire = 60/60 Underdark = 34/60

| Gator: I'll reserve judgement on that one.... I think it would be fun (and easier for quicker games) to use the Nationals Map, and I'm sure we'll have some participants who would appreciate an opportunity to get some competitive games on it...
But how available will it be? If WotC prints it up, and it's available for the taking at GenCon, then perhaps we DO use it, if we have to rely on people spending $30-40 bucks at Kinko's to have one, then I think not...

I'd agree that using the standard mat and tiles is the best action for some quick games. | Otherwise, we _could_ use the Lost Temple map. This would cut down on time, and the map is much more available than the Championship map.

We are each bringing 2 Angelfire to play with and 1 Harbinger for the prize.

| I suggest we play out three rounds and dish out prizes evenly to all the people undefeated at that time. Then give a smaller prize to all the people that are 2-1 at that time.
That way we can get some sleep before too late.
We could also use the 8 figure limit rule and maps to save time.
