| Yes, you really should.
We've watched the PEIers climbing up the DCI rankings in the last year or so and it is nice to see a strong D&D Mini contingent in the maritimes.
Hmmm.. checking the DCI rankings it appears some of you folks now hold top spot in the country... congratulations! FYI all the top players in Canada from NS are allgoods players (I'm not one of them however [:p] )
Now if we could only con WTOC to hold a qualifier down this way somewhere we would all have an excuse to meet up! Probably be a nice friendly rivalry too considering our crew held most of the top spots until recently.

| I think that we should definately get a qualifier down this way. As it stands now those great rankings aren't actually doing anything for us. [)] Yeah, we realized that we were really moving up in the rankings a while back. I'm not really sure how the point system works, but we actually have the "best" player in canada (sid o' sub), and the "worst" player in canada. I think I'm 7th or around there. Like I said, I don't put too much stock in the ranking system because we seemed to rise really quickly, and it doesn't actually do anything for me.
Do you guys have any kind of conventions in Hali? We've got nothing and I've been kind of curious about where the nearest one would be.

| I know "Back in the DAY" when I was a young geek, not the in-the-closet geek with a professional career I am now, that we used to have a few good cons in Halifax. I have no idea any more. I'll check with some of the more ardent geeks I know and get back to you.
As for the rankings meaning much... unfortunatly they do not seem to... it just means we play a lot more than the rest of Canada :)

| | It's kind of funny that you say that. We were talking about players in Canada at our local tourney today. It seems that DDM is popular on the east coast, but once you go west you don't really hear about other players until you hit Winnipeg. I thought that was kind of interesting. | |

| Me and B, and several others were in Hali on the last weekend, we hadn't remembered to check out this thread first to see if we could find a good FLGS, but we certainly looked.
Found a couple places that sold DDM, but no one who seemed to support it. Is it just the one place already mentioned here? Allgoods?
Thinking about heading out again sometime in the next couple of months, so thought i might look into it. | |

| Well... I cant say for certain Allgoods is the "only" store running any support. It is the only one I know of. And AFAIK all 28 DCI players in NS played their matches at Allgoods either in the weeklies or pre-release events.
When you are next down, you could post at the www.allgoods.ca/chat forum and we can see if we cant get a few people together to do some matches. If you are in town on Thursdays, we have our DCI tourny which always has 10-12 people.
