The reason Game Den does not do them every saturday is that Spikegif, by far the best DDM judge I know, did not have the time to take off every week to judge or play. Hastur's is a solid location to play, but like Game Den has a lot going on Saturdays and has twice the attendance for Yu-Gi-Oh than we have ever had (60+ players at a time in the heady days, and they still post numbers in the thirties practically weekly). Make sure the events are held at a different time than Yu-Gi-Oh so there is comfortable amount of area to play.

BTW that wasn't the owner. It was likely either Roland or Kurt. Cthullu Bob is Hastur's owner, though he is rarely seen these days.

Actually, I have seen the owner several times. It probably was the owner he spoke to.

[copied from other thread]

I won't be able to participate in any extracurricular DDM activities until after GenCon due to work constraints. [:(]

I would prefer to have fewer well-attended minis events than more poorly-attended events. Between the Black Rose and the Game Den, there are currently more than enough events for me in a month. Now if we find that either location stops supporting DDM like we'd like, then I'm all for finding a new spot.

I will mention that at the onset DDM down at GD Provo was played every night casually instead of MTG (Magic). It was perhaps taken for granted, and died off. I was happy to see so many Provo players at the Pre-Release as I had thought interested had waned their.

What's going on at the Blackrose sounds like a fun and different experience than the skirmish game, and I hope it continues. Spikegif probably can find out how to get RPGA rewards through Chris for running them that way. If time permits I'd go to Hastur to play, or Century Magic in Sandy, but will not go to the Blackrose.

Since this Saturday's tournament is a 500 point and the two after that are both sealed events (i think) I was hoping we could organize at least one or more 200 point DCI tournaments so we can use our new angelfire warbands.

only 1 sealed event after the 500pt. not sure on when the next one will be. The 2nd one is the qualifier and not our normal DCI event.

Pilias_Simbar and I were talking at Blackrose yesterday about how there won't be any sanctioned 200 point tournaments for about a month due to limited qualifier and practice tournaments. So we were hoping to set up a 200 point assault tournament tommorow(Saturday, Aug. 6)at Hastur Hobbies around 12:00 noon. If we can get at least two other people to show interest sometime before tommorow then it should be on. Post here if you are interested.
