| According to the DCI tournament locator, you're in luck... On September 4th and September 11th, the place noted below is having a sanctioned event. Good luck! :)

| If you go to the tournament locator, you can get the e-mail address of the tourney organizer. :)

| That's where I play.
I've only been to a few events. So far, I'm undefeated, but I'm sure it won't last.
If I know which event you're going to for sure, I'll try to call the store or post on their yahoo board to make sure that the weekly tournament is hitting.
They have made every week so far, but, obviously, the turnout varies from four to ten or so.
I'm online on AIM as JWP at IM (although I actually use GAIM)
Stay in touch as you get closer.
I'm sure you're schedule is crazy, but depending on where you're staying, you might be able to hitch a ride with me down to Phantom.
It's in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh (where PITT and CMU are). The traffic and parking can be rough, and, if you don't know your way around Pittsburgh, it can be crazy, so, I'd be happy to help if I can.

100% record - sounds like mine at the Manchester group (nearly...) until the Nationals... humble pie is the name of the game for me since those games.
I'd love to play on the 11th, so if it is possible, I'd meet you guys down there (I've been to the POTA before - nice place). I'll be staying up near Moon Township, but will have a car.
What time do they start? Is it Swiss throughout or knockout? Presumably DCI Sanctioned. 200 pts? Assault?
I hope not to be too crazy on the schedule - it wouldn't make for good meetings, so I'm fairly free during the following week also if someone wants a fun game or two. | | One of these days WoTC will update their tournament page when I'm in the top 5... they never seem to do when I'm in that bracket :( My Collection My DDM Website And My Trade Refs Be a part of the UK DDM Forum

| I work out by the Airport/Moon Township. I live in the North Hills, so, my commute is... semi-long (for this area anyway). I carpool with my wife though, so at least gas money is saved.
If you feel like coming up after work some night to get a few games in, and don't mind a bit of a drive, that'd be fine.
As for games at Phantom.
They are usually 200 Point Assault.
The owner is the "judge" but shifts from there to the register. He tracks the time of the matches and I guess would settle any disputes, but, there are always a few players who can answer questions and it hasn't come to that. Nobody has stalled, tried to cheat, or fought about rulings. There's another judge too, but, he doesn't make it every week.
Unless he's doing a special tournament, playing doesn't cost anything.
The games are DCI and wins/losses are reported. They're working towards showing the DCI folks that there is enough interest in Pittsburgh for them to run bigger stuff here.
The games generally start at Noon.
I think that at least a few of the players are solid, but, people don't always come loaded with Tier 1 bands. Two of the three guys I faced last time know the rules better than I do, and generally played well.
For me to say that I haven't lost there yet... I haven't played that many games there. It's just a matter of time. I'm not under any illusions that I could do that at a higher level of play.

| | I emailed Jeff, the guy who runs the store, and let him know about you coming in from England and wanting to play, so, it'll probably encourage a few people to mark their calendars and make sure they come that day. Could be a large turnout. | | Completed good trades with Demagogue, PigSnot, DoB, and Alepulp.

Nice! 1776 all over again... [:D] Now, do I bring the tea?
Will be great to meet some of you maxmin'ers there F2F! Please go easy on me...
