Well... that's how it's currently done over on the WotC boards and it only really works there because you can be notified by e-mail when a new post occurs. Unfortunately, e-mail notification isn't an option here, but I still think it would be a good idea to have a central repository for events.

One other thing that the hordelings site does well is event listings. Maybe we should just direct people over there to list their events.

Oh... and a sticky thread for links to yahoo/google/msn groups would be great.

btw... there is a calendar event mod for this forum. it might require some work by jai, but it would add some nice functionality to the site.
