If you happen to get a regular event going let me know. I have family in the Columbia area and am in the area occasionally and would be interested in playing even extremely casual. I usually have at least one of my boys in tow as well and they are better players than I am.

Right now the next time I am planning on being in the area is Thanksgiving weekend.

Forkedmoon,

Thanks for the interest! I doubt we'll be playing in Columbia unless there are some local players I am not aware of. My initial thoughts are to try and join with some of the Virginia players which would mean going south towards Rockville.

I'm also considering Towson as they have a great store there and I have been told that another guy has been trying to get something going there. I am going to try to connect with him.

I haven't played in any of their tournaments but a store in Bel Air holds tournaments. I think it was called renaissance games. If I remember correctly it was 100 point games as well supposedly to keep the time of each game down. Guess the new 8 figure limit with war drums will help that.

Forkedmoon,

Thanks for the info! I've heard of the store but the owner has never responded to any of my e-mails. In any case, I'm not a fan of the 100 pt game. Maps and the 8 figure limit will hopefully speed up the game and win or lose, I like the games decided by battle, not by protecting points, but that's just me.

Hey Charles,

Ooh Ooh Ooh!! I'm a Maryland player. But then again I guess you knew that already. [:p]

Why aren't you in Glen Burnie some Friday nights? Isn't that reasonable distance? [:D]

Anyway I have been so busy with work related travel the last three weeks I have no idea what is going on at either GCS or Other Realms right now, tournament wise.

For those who might be interested I am usually at Other Realms in Gaithersburg for open play on Weds. evenings after 6:00pm. (Dirctions and Location at www.other-realms.com ). I have both my D&D and A&A minis with me and am more than happy to get a game going.

On Friday nights Games, Comics and Stuff has open play. There are usually 2 or 3 other people there. (Directions and Location at www.gamescomicsstuff.com ).

Both locations usually have monthly tournaments. The main problem is they don't do a particularly good job at updating the event calendars.

If anyone wants to try and get together at another time or place post here or send me an pm/e-mail.

Jim

We are all agreed that your theory is crazy. The question which divides us is whether it is crazy enough to have a chance of being correct. My own feeling is that it is not crazy enough.

My buddy Jim! The distance to Glen Burnie is great for me--it's the day and time that are at issue. However, maybe I'll have to reconsider, especially if we can get some more interested folks to attend. Also, I am interested in some of our tournaments being DCI recorded! Stopped by GCS yesterday and only 6-7 people have signed up for the Underdark Pre-release. I'll see you there!
